Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam: "I owe a lot of respect to people who were at Liverpool, the likes of Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli, I owe them a lot. I respect Brendan Rodgers and what he does, he's a top manager and hopefully they do well, but I'm looking forward to getting a Stoke shirt on. Hopefully if the opportunity comes, I will be ready to go [against Wigan on Saturday]."
BR is really clearing out the players. Can't say I'm too bothered about Adam, too many Hollywood passes (we've already got Stevie G for that), couldn't tackle, couldn't run and seemed to have left his corner ability in Blackpool. Slight worry that we're leaving it late to get the players in to replace the ones going out.
We dont need to get a replacement for Adam. We have Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Shelvey and Sahin. Adam just didnt fit the mold.
Was referring to the general 'players out'. Would hope we have a replacement for Carroll lined up, that isnt Dempsey as we need a 'Proper' striker.

Adam and Stoke are a perfect fit. They have the big men for him to aim for from crosses, corners and freekicks. Adam like to play the long ranging passes that will fit with the Stoke long ball style. Anyone know how much we got for him?
A good move all round in my opinion. Charlie was quite far down the pecking order in central midfield and he wants to play week in week out. He'll probably do well at Stoke and they have got themselves a decent player. (Not defensively though!) And £4M sounds like a good deal on our part. Should give us some money to complete the incoming deals we want to progress with. Hope he does well down at Stoke!
Says a lot about him as a player, not suited for our passing game and ideal for hoof ball. Good move for all parties. The Stoke strip will suit him also, the stripes have a slimming effect.
