    I've seen a load of web sites reporting this too...

    It wouldn’t surprise me as he has changed his mind several times... He was going to Fiorentina on a flight paid for my then then, then diverted to Juventus as they have CL football. The he blew them out for us as he wants to stay in London.

    Like Captain said I was expecting to see an official announcement late last night of first thing this morning…

    I’m getting that sinking feeling again….

    I am somewhat worried about the delay this is causing,something seems to
    be amiss, spurs seem to be efficiently, on the ball when transfers are on the cards,
    Why are we dragging our feet in this window, when all around seems to be getting on with it.
    Am I panicking unnecessary,if we fail in this deal,plus others,the hierarchy of FFC has some explaining to do.

    I think we've got lots of irons in the fire, but we're not gobby about it - you don't see Ali Mac or Big Mart giving interviews from their car window...

    Well, if he's not signed by midday and registered he won't be playing against West Ham. Mind you, given what I've read from various places this morning it looks like he won't be here at all anyway. Oh well, nice dream while it lasted. Onwards and hopefully upwards.

    If he did choose Spurs over you then you are better off without him as you need players that want to play for your club. I would say the same about players coming to us.
    It does 'irk' me when players change minds after agreeing deals. <ok>

    i would like to have faith like bandit however, as there is no 'official' mention from FFC, add the comments from SAF this morning plus the fiasco of the Italian deals etc, to say i am getting aprehensive over it is a a slight understatement

    Jol went out on a limb yesterday talking about the Berbatov deal being 'the biggest in the clubs history' he knows if it doesn't come off then he has egg on his face. I think Fergie is just bitter having missed out on Dembele and is trying to stir things up. If we need to renegotiate to see off interest from Spuds then we will.
