Sounds alright then, quite happy with the signings TBH. Is the striker a loan or permanent?

Yes I was told to keep it quiet too. Just a matter of tying up the loose ends now though so maybe they leaked it safely knowing it will go through shortly?

A loan as far as I know and it seems it's a bit of a long shot.

Quinn passed a medical last night, I think his signing is now just a case of paperwork, we may even get him registered in time to be eligible for tomorrow.

Mike White says Quinn's passed a medical last night, so it's down to the money side of things.

Bloody OLM always get's infront of everyone with the news :)

Evidently he had a medical last night, so he must have been the one Bruce referred to yesterday.

Word from the Sheffield United end is that Quinn is a done deal. Three-year contract. I'd imgaine fee will be £300-400k.

Heard a rumour about Nathan Eccleston from Liverpool, but not a £1m fee surely ? ?

He is a free agent so costs nothing other than wages.

Buckingham has mentioned that Meyler has just moved into a new house. So that maybe the reason fior the delay.

Quinn has been talked about a few times. IMO the main reason why Sheffield Utd got to Wembley. Could well be the missing link. Very good signing.

I reckon if ELmo is starting in place of Rosie tomorrow, because we are playing a back 3, then Rosie may well decide he wants away.

Maybe it's just the kick up the arse Rosie needs to work on his crossing and passing. No player should take his place in the team for granted.

I hope we haven't put all our eggs in one basket by trying to sign Bothroyd.

It would typical of City to go into a campaign after a transfer window without an adequate striking options. Just hope they come good.

Debatable. He was decent, but he was not better than Fryatt for example and seemed to get an £8m move just based on his age rather than ability. Though don't tell superblackcatforever that.

Quinn sounds like a hell of a signing, especially for £300-400k.
