Unfortunately, this could be potentially the best group of players and best chance of qualification for a major tournament we have had for a long time...and, if Im not mistaken, levein is going to **** it up royally.
He is letting his own petty prejudices and fall outs get in the way of picking the best players available. Is he really the best man for the job if he cannot pick up his phone and talk to Commons and Fletcher?
Apparently Levein reckons he has a "dearth of talent" in the wide areas and Commons isn't good enough to get in the squad. The man is an arse.
I am going to have to mix my patter up if nobody is falling for my ****e. Souness or Strachan. You tend to give less of a **** how your national team plays ball if the results are right. It matters at club level because you watch it all the time. All you Scotches would love a Trappatoni to stifle all the creative talent and play god awful football if it got you to the big leagues,
Scotland can play the ****est football going, as long as they get to a tournament. Strachan has gone mental in my opinion, not in a jokey way but genuinely mental. Whenever I see him on telly now he looks like there is a spark missing. Souness is a dick who is out of touch. So neither of them for me.
