Just seen on SSN Fulham have accepted a fee for Dempsey from Aston Villa. Lambert is unaware of the deal though. Looks like Villa are trying to get this deal done quickly. If he goes to Villa, I'll be incredibly pissed off, but if he does, I'm also glad we dodged the bullet. The only reason he'd go there is for the wages, and if he's become a money grabber, then he can go **** himself. EDIT - Bid retracted because Dempsey wants to go to Liverpool.
Or because ourselves and fulham had not agreed a fee..........or because we werent as interested in him as we first thought! Read somewhere that we enquired about him last week but our interest reduced after we got Johnson!
On SSN now, the bid has been retracted because Dempsey wants to go to Liverpool. Even so, the deal is over.
