http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19434488 caught the end of a piece on radio which I THOUGHT said it had been agreed! Surely we can't let him go without signing somebody else . Hulk/Cavani?
Just found this ..... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/30/chelsea-loan-daniel-sturrudge-andre-schurrle
Schurrle isn't exactly prolific at club level but at International level .............. according to wiki 20goals in 66 appearances for Mainz 7 goals in 31 appearances for Leverkeusen 10 goals in 11 appearances for U-19 Germany team 5 goals in 5 appearances for U-21s 7 goals in 17 appearances for Germany and just to add to Premiership's defences worries (again from wiki) lol
I'd love to know how this "deal" is going to happen when the club have already said he's part of our plans and he's in Monaco for a Cup Final. Surely even Chelsea aren't stupid enough to allow this thing to disrupt preparations of the entire squad ahead of the Super Cup? That would just be embarrassing
Let him go . Maybe Brendon can make him into a proper player and send him back professional, modest, hungry and not full of himself.
Residing in Germany, I have seen a lot of Shurrle. He is more of an attacking midfielder and winger in my mind, but has played a striker role for Germany from time to time. Thought you would rather be interested in acquiring an actual out and out striker like the lady boy?
Schurrle can play winger and striker. Got a gut feeling about Llorente though, do Bilbao really want to let him go for free next season?!
you are already short up top so wouldnt selling a striker and buying a striker leave you in the same position. if hes going surely you must be looking at 2 strikers?
Errr.... Sturridge is a class act, and def one for the future...attitude is ****e, but that's what managers are there for?
Sturridge thinks he's far better than he is the prats in the media have planted there usual cr@p in a young English players head that he's a superstar already they wont stop so dont be surprised to see Sturridge go no where great in his career. if Liverpool want him they can have him if we get a replacement in they can add him to there list of over hyped average players .
What has he done to suggest that? It still baffles me why Chelsea fans dislike him, he's quality and was our joint top scorer last season despite playing hardly any games after Christmas.
to selfish in his play choses to shoot when theres better options passing and with the media in his head he wont think he needs to improve. i hope im being to harsh and im wrong i just dont see this special player everyone is talking about .
Doesn't mean he thinks he's better than he is though, his strongest position is up top scoring goals so naturally he's going to be selfish. As he's young, he has plenty of time to gain experience and become less selfish, as infuriating as it can be at times I still think he's a brilliant player with the potential to be world class. A loan spell may do him some good at Liverpool under Brendan but only if we bring in some top class talent.
This He had a ****e attitude at City and joined us to play more, which he hasn't... If you saw what he did at Bolton, basically single handedly keeping them in the league, you'd understand why he's not happy to sit on the bench...he is a very good player.
i just heard on Talksport that we might be about to beat the Spuds to Remy either way i think we will have one of either Schurlle or Remy by deadline if Sturridge is gone .
