I know that there are always rumours flying round and normally rubbish, but thought I would share! One on the eurosport transfer rumour thread was that Gillingham will sign midfielder Matt Bloomfield from Wycombe for £100,000 plus Danny Jackman going the other way! The other one on a football rumour site was that we are to sign Sam Saunders from Brentford on a season loan after Saunders fell out with Uwe Rosler! Saunders and Bloomfield play regularly so thought that they were rather amusing!
gfc1234 I do believe that this is the 2nd very recent reference to matters relating to Wycombe ( Montrose )- could you either stop your wumming or go onto their forum. I would ask brb to caution you, but he spends too much time on the Plymouth forum to be concerned. edit - judging by what I saw at Wycombe last week, I think we'd be wasting our money IF the rumour ever came true.
How am I wumming? Just happened to make a comment regarding another club, end of!! Why would I be wumming when Im a Gillingham supporter? Also, im not going to apologise for being a Lewis Montrose fan. During the close season of 2011 on another site, we were asked who we thought Hessenthaler should sign...I said Lewis Montrose!

I apologise if you have not concluded that I was joking about 'wumming.' - I would have thought that you have been a member for long enough to realise when I'm mucking about - but it seems that brb is right - I am losing the ability to make people laugh. (this is where you say that I never had the ability in the first place. ) You have no need to apologise for liking Montrose - whilst not my particular favourite, he is a long way ahead of McCammon as far as I'm concerned. ....anyway - long live banter !
saunders on loan would be a useful additon but i think the first one is less likely that us winning the champions league through replacing man city in the group of death!!
Don't worry - you'll learn - Hoadie has ( I think ) I could see that there were over 100 views of your thread - but with little response. In those situations I use the lack of 'activity' as a reason to introduce a bit of my own 'wumming.' I rarely mean anything on a personal basis - and ask that people 'retaliate' in like fashion. ( and at least doing the OP the courtesy of keeping the thread alive ).

Dont think Kedwell is unhappy, must be a rumour. He loves this club! Anyway, My brothers mate Barry just text to say that he has spotted Sam Saunders at Gerry's newsagents in Gillingham high street buying a kitkat!!
I doubt Keds will be out. He's our joint top scorer so far and has featured in every game (I think) the only reason he could be unhappy is if a bigger club came sniffing and we said no. I highly doubt that though. I can't see any coming in or going out, unless Martin has been chatting about an upcoming move on talksport.
Seemed strange when I saw all the social media rumours surrounding this particularly story as only just over three weeks back he seemed happy...http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2012/august/7/danny_kedwell.aspx I suppose the reason I raised the subject is I just find it a little annoying that on the back of a successful start to the season for the Gills, along with a lack of general chat about those successes, that we find the need to start circulating these rumours. What I would love now is for Martin Allen or more importantly for Danny Kedwell to come forward and say something to the contrary, at least it then gives us some sort of measure of credibility of the outlets of such rumours. People might argue that rumours are what they are rumours, yes, I get it, deadline day and rumours for the fun of it, but unless there is truth and I have certainly seen absolutely nothing to substantiate it, I would argue rumours such as these can be very damaging to team confidence, so why would people circulate such stuff? Danny Kedwell, born in Gillingham(canada house, barnsole road, same as me), life long Gillingham fan(same as me) Took most of his career to play for the club he loves, no reason he would want to go!
