    Maybe im reading this wrong but this incident sounds like the fault of the dirver of the Peugeot

    If she turned right (across a lane) to pull into a layby should she not have checked here mirrors first and then seen the overtaking car. Sounds like he incriminated himself with his mutterings to the paramedic while probably in shock, and previous driving offences counted against him also but on the merits of this incident alone I dont agree with the verdict

    I agree, he may have overtaken when it seemed perfectly safe to do so, the woman cutting right across the road should have checked her mirrors before turning. I don't think a lay by counts as a junction does it? If it does I can understand the verdict.
