I think I'd have Maynard in there Swamp, probably instead of Smith and Mason.

Ha ha, I thought the thread was some kind of protest at his signing!

Haven't got a clue about the starting 11 but surely mm will have enough faith in this squad to rotate and keep things fresh. Also does anyone believe mm will leave out a fit don cowie?.....

assuming it all goes through...I'd go with that Swamp with clingos change <ok>

Pick any seven for the bench :D
Lewis Noone Mutch Connolly Conway Cowie Smith Mason Kiss K9 Earnie Rudy Ralls (ok, maybe including Rudy is a tad optimistic)

I think its safe to say (maybe) that neither CB39 or HH will do a full season so plenty of swapping the line up to come I think.

This season will be as much about the bench as the starting 11. I think the bench will win more games than the starting 11.

Last season we brought someone off whne they got tired rather than put someone on to make a difference. Noone off the bench for Bellers, Smith or Mason off the bench for Kimbo. Eti or Maynard off the bench for HH.

451 to start with a centre mid off and a second striker on for 442 for the last 20. These guys running at tired legs could be the difference this season. A very strong bench that can change or close out a game.

Start with Smith and bring Kimbo or Mason on.

Endless options. Just hope we don't end up with so many options we lose structure.

Being able to leave a player out for a couple games to recover will also stand us in good stead for a long season, keeping everyone fresh. A big job for MM.

    H, you forgot Velikonja.

I wonder if he could be a surprise early leaver - not settled, won't get much of a look in with Maynard on board?

3-5-2 with gunnarson dropping back to help link up the defense with the rest of the midfield

At home and with Conelly replacing Taylor I could see that working. Real empathis on Gunnar being very responsible defensively though.

We are all having trouble picking a starting 11. I hope opposition managers have the same difficulty.
Maybe that's the extra benefit of having such a big and top quality squad.

We were stupidly predictable at the end of last season. Variety has to come with squad we have now.

Very true. Also when you think about it we have all types of attacking options now maynard has come in.

Gestede + Helgason - arial threat.
    Mason(possibly bellamy) - Sheer pace
Maynard + Velikonja - last man turners

not to mention bringing on a few subs could be completely game changing now
