Depends on price. No more then 3M Plus if he doesnt make a good impression on the last 4 games then no i wouldnt. But i do like Waghorn more as he shows more effort
Yes, sign him up. I think after he spends the summer getting fit he could be a massive player for us, you have to remember he has spent the last few years injured and then not playing at all for Everton.
Well I think I would say no, Due to the fact that his wage is not going to be below 50k Probably be like 70k a week which is a joke at this level, I think you could do much better than him by signing someone like Danny Graham, good fee, Proven at this level and also his wage shouldn't be any more than 12k a week.
To say workrate isn't important if you score goals is a bit naive. The team suffers, and has suffered, if there's a lack of options and movement from the front players. Sometimes it's difficult to play through a team and you want your strikers to chase down something that's not to their feet. Looking at his strike rate just papers over the cracks - that he went several games not only without scoring but without offering anything to the team whatsoever. In a period of the season when we needed players to stand up and be counted, Yakubu was a prime culprit of not pulling his weight. His strike rate statistics also cover up the amount of chances he's had, and the amount he's missed. He's hardly been lethal, yes he's scored a couple of crackers out of nothing, but he's actually missed quite a few sitters and 1 on 1s. Fryatt was criticised for the same thing. I'm still on the fence with Yakubu, in this league, and tbh in any, you need someone to both score goals and work for the team.
I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. He's fatter than my Grandad and is on higher wages than Jimmy Bullard.
He can be hit and miss a lot of the time, I have looked at how he plays many times, he can either play a complete belter or he can become very dreadful and can seem like he can't even be bothered to even be playing at times.
Of course I would. Don't listen to the glums that think our team is a pile of ****, the man has a cracking goalscoring record and he terrorises defences. He is a bully, ask every Championship defender that has played him.
As long as the lad gives his best, he would be great as he does have the ability for this level easily.
I'd take Yakubu, as long as Everton are willing to sell him at a decent price, and also as long as he wasnt on stupid money ... get us us into the prem Yak ... then we'll talk better wages
If he scores enough goals to get us enough points for an automnatic or playoff place next season, im sure the owners would give him 100k a week, but i personally would give him a lower wage and a fairly decent promotion incentive.
