Just seen Marty on SSN talking about Dempsey, saying that it was an enquiry only at the moment but Fulham also saying NO bids have been made for him yet from anyone?

MoN also cryptically saying that there may be other things going on there, which in all honesty could be read both ways? Is Dempsey hanging on for Liverpool until the last minute or are negotiations on going with the player as we speak?

This might go right down to the wire if it does come off but I think Liverpool might eventually pip us to this signing tbh as it seems they are his preferred choice.

Hope I am wrong, as he would be the icing on the cake this summer but I'm also being realistic too.

I really dont know at the minute, bookies have us and the dippers at the same odds, been little movement all day, i think we'll sign jenas though, i'm more concerned about a lb atm.

If he is holding out for liverpool and he doesnt buy into the safc revolution then feck him anyway

I wouldn't have a problem if Dempsey had said to us 'look, I fancy going to Liverpool, but...'

Facts are Liverpool are massive in the States, if he grew up wanting to play in England, it would likely have been Liverpool (or United).

Self confessed earlier in the summer, he said he wanted to accept a move to Liverpool.

If he came here, as second choice, we'd still be getting a top Premier League footballer, I wouldn't think we'd somehow got a bum deal if we weren't his first choice.

Personally, I don't care if we don't get him, but I do of course know he'd be a top signing if we did.

Sess's deal today has me purring like a horny kitten, anything from now (bar a LB, pleeeeeeease) is just a garnish on my already iced cake.

If we sign Jenas, I'm giving up being a football fan and getting into crown green bowls, he's a pile of ****e.

I would prefer us to concentrate our resources on defence now.

TBH, if we sign Jenas it will actually taint the other good signings and end the window on a flat note.

Jenas is a pile Alan Shearer

I would question if his heart would be in it. He's burned his bridges at Fulham and has his heart clearly set on Liverpool, so if that goes tits up, he kind of has to come here.....

I agree that he has had his head turned by Liverpool but if Liverpool end up saying they don,t want him then who knows.

I still want a bloody fullback

IF it comes down to recent history Liverpool will be odds on CD's first choice, if it comes down to the managers persuasion and vision for the future.
    Methinks MON would edge it.

The whole Liverpool thing sounds buggered to me and Rogers is numb **** way out of his depth. He could be gone by Christmas if results suffer and Dempsey could find himslef in Andy Carrolls position inside 4 or 5 months as another mans pick.

Haway Clint, get yersel up to the SOL. You know it makes sense. Lol
