The only time i remember Pelts playing at centre half was when Matt Mills got sent off at Birmingham

Peltier was a good attacker but a poor defender - conceded a lot of goals due to that.

Bamba wanted to go to a club offering more money and are in Europe - fair enough and I personally won't miss having my heart in my mouth when he buggers up and has to frantically sort out his many mistakes.

Mills pissed both us and NP off by being **** - flashes of brilliance (only one I can remember was against Birmingham and then he got sent off a few minutes later) was not enough to cover up those facts.

Sol Bamba wasnt Nigels cup of tea. Too flamboyant

Look at Michael Morrison, Jack Hobbs, Aleksandar Tunchev, Wayne Brown, James Chester, Wes Morgan, Zak Whitbread. They are all solid reliable defenders

    Then look at Sol

You sort of see where this is going

It wasn't that he was flamboyant, it was that he ****ed up a lot being flamboyant.

Bet NP wouldn't mind a flamboyant CB that didn't **** up but none exist.

****ed up too much playing for Juventus so went to middle east and retired.

Wouldn't really consider him flamboyant - classy and solid would be my description.

He knew when to not play his way to of the box and when to boot the ball and attacker into row z.

Watch entire Chelsea games and not just MoTD - he is like my description of Bamba above except scores more goals so Chelsea fans are more forgiving.

Are you still talking about David Luiz or Cannavaro? Have to confess I'm too young to really remember Cannavaro but I don't know how people can still say David Luiz is crap, didn't you see him in the Champions League final? He was ****ing everywhere!

I was referring to Cannavaro ... as to Luiz, I like him but he will give a few goals away until he matures ... reminds me a bit of Carvalho but with better technical ability and attacking flair ..

One of the best defenders in the world was Rio Ferdinand when he was at his prime. He was solid and reliable but he could still play the ball out of defence

Cannovaro picked the champions league draw and is an ex player of the year award, somethin. What must pearson be thinking? should we panic really after successive top ten pushes in the past whats another season in the championship.
