Defoe's just been given a new deal according to SSN so it sounds like if another striker is bought they won't be that level of quality and probably will have to be able to play on the wing.
I doubt this contract means anything much, perhaps just Levy ensuring he can ask for a few more bob from any potential suitors. Surely we are not planning on having just 2 strikers for the foreseeable future. At some point we're going to have to sign one. Totally agree. He could still be sold and this contract could be an agreement between levy and Defoe so we can get more money. He might even get a cut of the sale...
No chance on Llorente, we just wont spend that kind of money. I think it is just lazy journalism as they think AVB has Modric's money burning a hole in his pocket.
Ok. So I'm hearing rumours that Mountinho to us is a is a done deal. Understand something. If Levy signs Moutihno and Llorente now, I'll be uncontainable in my happiness as Spurs fan!!! Regardless of who goes out, or who else comes in. (Though I'd still like Jenas and Bentley to go, truth be told.)
Haha, I hope this is true, but where/how would we play him? They only way I can see us getting him is if we sell Vdv and use Gylfi and Dembele as attacking mids, and Moutinho along side Sandro. I would prefer dembele running from deep with Gylfi/VDV ahead with Ade/llorente in the middle so maybe he would be instead of Sandro? I think we need Lloris and willian/remy more than Moutinho.
I dunno tbh. I'd love Llorente but i couldn't get overly excited til it was obvious he wasn't gonna be a Morientes
