Why wont your club just accept their losses and give us Carroll?

Loving the fact that this guy seems to think BR saying Carroll is available indicates he wants to deal directly with Newcastle...I think it was a statement of intent to sell letting any interested parties know for the 'right' price the lad would be offloaded. I may have missed something here but no where in BR' statement does he say "Eh Newcastle, you can have your lad back if you want!"

Spurs, Utd, Chavs, Saints, Swans and Newcastle - All becoming increasingly obsessed with all things Liverpool I reckon!

You won't be selling him then.

What is it about managers telling clubs how much they have to sell their players for. First we had Ferguson telling Arsene Wenger how much to sell RVP for. Now we have Pardew telling Liverpool how much to sell Andy Carroll for. Are they living in some fantasy universe?

Firstly, you only need to see the games Carroll played in last year, you don't need to know the lads inside leg measurement or where his dad drinks to decide if he fits into your philosophy. BR obviously saw the lad play last season and wasn't impressed. I said in my earlier post, 10 games at the end of a year and half do not justify the club holding onto a player earning in excess of 90 grand a week! Had he had say half a season, consistently playing well, I'd be saying "You know what, give the kid a chance!" He hasn't though. He had 10 games were he was decent, yes decent at best. Why not let him go for 17 mill? Why berate a manager who has a strong idea of how he wants our team to move forward
Will I complain if he sells him and brings in a better player? No of course I won't, his job is to get us as a club back up c when he says a certain player doens't meet the standards of the club and the way he wants us to play?

Loving the fact that I have never said that Rodgers wants to sell to Newcastle.

There doesn't seem to be any other interested parties so Rodgers is not exactly spoilt for choice.

Certainly not obsessed with all things Liverpool but we are talking about our 2 clubs negotiating over a players.<doh>

Its not just Andy Carroll he wants rid of. He wants Adam, Spearing, Cole and Downing out too.

All of these are not good enough for the project and need to be moved on, I feel sorry for Carroll because he didn't dictate how much he was signed for but, the fact remains he doesn't justify a place at the club. My opinion and I'll stick with it thanks!

Pardew mistakenly thinks he's in a position of power: we've said "not part of our plans" , everyone knows we'll take a hit no matter what & Newcastle don't "need" Carroll on paper.

However: I think he's confusing BR saying its silly having a 35m player as back up, with we won't be prepared to do it for half a season.

Let's face it: has anyone heard the name of a striker being linked with us that we'd say is so vital at 15 million we'd lose 20 million after a year to get the funds? If so its very Liverpool Way. It's certainly not Dempsey or Sturridge.

As for Carroll being anything but professional theres no sign of it. BR has said he is, all reports say he's of a mind to prove he's good enough & he knows if he slacks there will be even less chance of going somewhere he wants if it still doesn't work out here.

That was down to a cock-up over at NESN website, LFC never had anything on their official site!
Rodgers when asked about Dempsey only stated that he was a good player, one the enquired about, never once said/told Fulham how much they should sell him to LFC for..
But never let facts get in the way of a good whinge..

Whilst Rodgers may want rid of Carroll, he is not the final arbiter on the price that will or will not be accepted. On behalf of the owners, that responsibility will reside with Ian Ayre to whom Rodgers reports.

Now you may have a very short memeory, I don't know. However, I do know about the comments made by Newcastle's management during and after the transfer. Those comments will sour the atmosphere as revenge is a dish served cold!

Oh, don't get me wrong, Newcastle are surely the last club that Liverpool would want to sell Carroll to at a huge loss. For several reasons. But I beleive that at the end, it will be a business decision. If your board think that it will help take Liverpool forward, they will do a deal. If the don't, they won't do a deal.

Not sure about the revenge thing.

Its obviously and clearly a whinge, and seeing as it involves Fulham, it has nothing whatseover to do with Newcastle.

An irrelevant fact to this particular complaint. Poor attempt deflecting the obviously bad behaviour of Pardew.

No really. Just pointing out that it is easy to criticise other clubs/managers behaviour. Swansea fans are far from happy with BR. So people in glass houses....................................

Don't be fooled by the business decision thing. John Henry is a cool calculating guy but if you truly believe that he would not want his pound of flesh from any deal involving Newcastle then you are mistaken.
