Alessandro Del Piero attended a meeting with Sion today, but it’s reported he is also considering offers from Celtic and Tottenham.
The former Juventus legend is a free agent after his contract with the Turin giants expired in June.
Swiss side Sion, who can already count on ex-Milan star Gennaro Gattuso, confirmed they are in negotiations with the player after presenting their proposal to his agent.
According to numerous reports this evening, Del Piero is present at the meeting with Sion President Constantin and director of sport Degennaro.
However, it’s also claimed that other offers are on the table for Pinturicchio.
Celtic hope to promise Champions League football after tonight’s play-off with Helsingborgs, while Tottenham have long been linked with the veteran Italian.

 

I heard this last night but he's just one of about ten names being banded about.

The team needs experience, particularly in the Champions League.

Agree and I hope any rumour of Del Piero, at around 37 years of age, being considered, is just that - rumour.
