Marko, spot on mate. Thieving bastard does not equate to a good businessman. A good businessman buys an ailing business, builds it up till it's thriving, and sells up. The fact LUFC has an obvious cash flow problem, despite selling its best assets, the fact LUFC has the largest fanbase, tv revenue and gate receipts in the Championship and yet still can't compete financially with other clubs all points to the fact that Bates is in fact a very poor businessman, and a crook of the highest calibre.
As much as I hate to point it out - What position were we in when the old ****er first stepped in and brought us and now he is selling up? As for cash flow problem, it is only there because the owner bleeds it out, the owner is spending the money on himself, if he stopped (bleeding it out) the cash flow problem would ease and I ask ANYONE to point to the hard facts and evidence that there is one. Players and management are being paid, this cash flow drama is building pace because Bates refuses to invest and LUST say their opinion is that we have one. Look I am not going to comment any more as I hate Bates and I don't want this to get out of context and anyone to assume I support him. I WANT HIM OUT of LEEDS UTD I really DO so I shall say no more.
http://spoughts.co.uk/2012/08/29/ken-bates-is-on-the-ropes/ A decent read and could well be nearer the truth regarding cashflow and administration looming
Written by a fan with NO expertise other than his personal opinion and put it into context: The article says £5m repayment over two years so 2.5m a year on ticket sales. I looked at the season ticket prices and they average as far as I can see £700 That means 3,571 season ticket sales go towards the repayment. Take our average gate against other teams who have money to spend and it is a drop in the ocean. Against Wolves we had 23,745 we can wipe out say 3,571 of those tickets as paying back a loan. That leaves us a gate profit of 20,000+ fans. 20,000 A larger first home gate than: Ipswich Town Burnley Birmingham Bolton Crystal Palace Charlton Hull City Middlesbrough Blackpool Blackburn Bristol City Barnsley Watford Millwall Peterborough Look at it another way, a £5m debt that could be wiped out with one player sale - cash flow my ass. Bates enjoying the money too much
A loan that wouldn't need to be taken out if we didn't have a cashflow problem... that is why people say it points to one... what about the priority shares? again... cashflow problem. He's enjoyed the money too much to the point where the only way to fix it is to give the money back, but he won't do that because he's a greedy old ****.
Casual Stroll out of work for an hour and spot a million pound supercar Leeds United Takeover? Mclaren f1 in Orange
He died a few years ago, must have been all those years of playing with Pink Floyd, that would be enough to kill anyone.
Just started a thread about Maynard -Sorry YWBK never noticed you had covered it here - Two of NW's targets joining other clubs, if by some miracle the T/O did go through I wonder if there are any other targets left or it would be a panic buy to get some quality in.
He will be there 3rd choice keeper, but it must be like a lottery win for him! Yesterday he was unattached!
He will go from being unattached to part of a premiership winning squad, what a jammy twat I want lottery numbers off him
Bit depressing when you know the squad needs improving and you watch with a little over 24 hours to go teams around you strengthening - You would think we would be used to it by now.
