Surely it brings the name of the school into disrepute or something?

One of my old teachers apparently threw a chair at a student once.

I think it probably is. As GBS says, it brings the school into disrepute. It could also affect her ability to do the job, and could be caught by any number of duty of fidelity clauses.

Interesting points. Well they kept her anyway. Most of the people who saw the video are long gone now.

Yes, yes she was. We had three hot music teachers and she was one of them. I loved that music department.

Only good looking teacher I had was my Spanish teacher, she was only about 20(when I was 16) and wore very low cut tops and short mini skirts <laugh>.

All right then, Citizen Khan. Did anybody watch it? Looked like a load of crap to me and I can't see what the audience is. White people wont watch it because 'it's about those ****ing P**** aint it?'. And lets be honest, it's only going to offend Muslims. Plus I can't see it being funny.

You mistake white people for chavs

I meant to ask my Pakistani friend what she thought of it but forgot to.

I didn't watch it but I heard a lot of people are offended. Don't even really know what it's about. Ofcom are investigating aren't they?

No, I was paraphrasing the opinion of a lot of white people into working class speak. For instance, my mum wouldn't watch it for that reason, but wouldn't put it in those terms.

A character created by Adil Rey, who is basically a self styled 'community leader'. However, it's basically a family sitcom. A British-Pakistani version of 'Mrs Brown's boys'.

I wouldn't not watch something because it has Pakistani's in. Two of my best friends are Pakistani (well, one's of Pakistani decent)

It's a sit-com about a Pakistani family. I didn't read it, but according to the headline of an article in the Mail, it's quite an accurate depiction of Asian/Pakistani family-life? I dunno cause I've never lived in an Asian family.

Oh and let me guess, it "offends Islam"?

There are a few outspoken fundamentalist Muslims in this country who think they speak for their entire race, denouncing novelists, playwrights, etc. but I bet none of the Muslims I know could give less of a ****.

Still, it does sound like the show isn't very funny.

Oh, and we're probably breaking the rules of this thread now.

I thought the same thing, it'll probably be white people getting offended on the behalf of Muslims than it would be Muslims getting actually offended.
