The only difference is that we'll have to offer 20m and get 5m back! They're not gonna accept 15m if they're only gonna get 10m! That's the point. We need to make a deal in which they'll secure 15m.
At the end of the day, he's a footballer with a career, and this would be a good move for him. Some of us don't like him, some of us are in-different and don't give a **** about individuals, some of us still have a part of us that loves him. If he scores goals for the toon, he'll regain the fans love. Simple as. On top of that, he's helped us con Liverpool out of 35m that's helped us buy several fantastic players.
I think the source is probably Carroll's agent, not anyone at LFC. LFC have told Carroll to go to West Ham, who are the only people offering the money they are looking for. He's said he won't go. Unless somebody blinks, that's it for this window, but January will be interesting. I expect out offer will b £12m for him then
haha....if that's the case would Carroll do a Xisco on them?? If that's the case as u said, in Jan maybe we'd go in for him at a lower price
Hahahaha Brendan Rodgers is a silly little fat joke. He's already adopted a siege mentality and started to act like the quintessential prat that has so often ruled the dugout at Anfield. They're little more than a shell(suit) of their former club who were glittered in so much glory, now they're just the old drunk pensioner that moans to everyone that things aren't as good as they used to be and sh!ts themselves on a regular basis.
This was reported ages ago, this isn't break news, and stop posting crappy articles with no sources man!!! He said that probably because he didn't know what was going to happen with his career, and Liverpool were probably not going to sell to us, and West Ham was his only other option.
In fairness Tash, its being reported in a new article on the BBC Website and there is **** all else going on on our board at the minute!
Of course he's going to say that. If we agreed a fee with Liverpool, he'd leap at joining. He's just making sure he doesn't burn his bridges if he has to stay.
Does anyone know if this actually exists or is it just a rumour? Seen people talk of it being as much as 4 or 5 Million but never known how much truth is in it. If true it could have a big impact on whether or not he leaves Liverpool and where he goes. Certainly it would put us in a strong position though as a negotiating tool to sign him or another nice earner if he goes elsewhere.
Sell on clauses generally only apply to any increased amount a player is sold for. If you sell a player for £5 m with a 25% sell on clause and the player is resold for £7m, then you get £500k.
Nobody will have any idea if it exists (unless Mike or Derek has a not606 account). I suspect with the levels at which we fleeced them, it probably does.
And er ensuring his payoff bonus......................cough cough Old news, we all know he'd like to stay. He'd prefer to do that than come home. However it may not be a viable option if he is just gonna warm the bench and/or they don't want him.
