Thats a complete contradiction in terms. On one hand you say if she feels British then fine but Pietersens not ok because he's only here for the money (subjective). Pietersen's mother is English and he probably feels English so by definition he has more of an allegiance to us than Robson. From a personal point of view I think it comes down to heritage/ancestry. If I was born abroad to English parents and moved back at a young age, I would feel English. If I was born and raised abroad to English parents and moved back at say 18, I would feel English, even if the system didnt agree with that. In Pietersens case (English mother, South African father, born and raised in South Africa) I would feel South African but be aware of my English heritage. In Robsons case, if I was born in Australia to Australian parents I would definitely feel Australian. The ones I dont agree with are the ones that represent their "country" based entirely on citizenship. Definitely a grey area though.
Pieterson plays here because he was left out of the Safa's team due to their quota system, where they had to pick a certain number of black players to fulfill it, even if they were less talented than their white counterparts.
