Funny how a persons stoick changes - he was highly sought after when at Wigan and it was quite a coup that we got him - and now the Hull fans want him sacked!

TBF to Bruce NMG, he did OK here regardless of your opinion (before the last 6 months of his reign) - for the most part he improved us - particularly the squad. He made some mistakes but I still think he did OK.

What's your take on Adam Johnson apparently being a mag??

Seems he's gone 3 at the back, and has taken to playing a CB as a wing back.

Not like Bruce to be tactically inept and play people out of position.

He will get them to the play-offs, IMO, but he is a very frustrating man, so nearly a decent manager.

    Interesting thing is!

If he gets sacked from this job what will be his excuse?

Can't use the geordie one was like Hull wont care about that...
Will he finally admit he is tactically inept? Will he admit he has lost his way?

Where does it say we want him sacked?

The knee jerk reactions are coming from a small section of fans, who are living on cloud cuckoo land, who believe Barmby was infalliable. It's embarrassing to see them already, he's not been given a chance yet. Most have told them to do one.

And you're right, the Geordie bollocks won't be brought up. His origins mean sod all to us & we're not a bitter lot in the first place, unlike you Mackems, who are always living in your neighbour's shadow.

His record with you was good, even if you chose to look only at his last season with you and nothing else. You achieved midtable easy with Bruce but your players like Bent and Gyan did you over and you couldn;t keep up with the other teams around you, who had more money.

I take issue with this as well.

Why don't you look up who has the most league titles (SAFC 6 vs NUFC 4) and who has the largest record attendance (it's Sunderland by the way).

In order to stop yourself from looking a complete tit, do your research before coming on here spouting off nonsene next time

I'd hate to see what you think of Howard Wilkinson's and Steve Cotterill's era (even we beat you, yes it was a friendly in 2002, but we were utter ****e back then) if you think finishing mid table comfortably is bad.

That's not really the point though fella, safety was assured after a great first half, then we collapsed, for the second year running, that spilled over to the next season, and he simply had to go.

He'll do alright for you, to a point, but an ambitious club with a billionaire chairman, well, he was lucky to last so long.

To be fair to Golaccio, this thread is miss leading..

Iv'e read the thread all the way through on the Hull board, and it's a minority that have said this about Bruce, not the numbers that the op seems to suggest,,

Whilst there's truth in that, there's also a very strong feeling that Bruce man management & handling of the 2 is what led to them wishing to leave.

Bent was completely in love with all things Sunderland, and one day we'll hear the full tale of it, Brucey evidently wasn't happy at him boshing his daughter, but for that to have affected his relationship with the clubs talisman is woefully unprofessional.

Gyan, he was just a ****.

The problem was, Bruce blamed his Geordie roots, referees, bad luck, anything but himself.

He played players out of position, or not at all, he pulled every man back for corners, meaning we were under intense pressure for long periods, even in games we were on top in, he alienated Kenwyne, before Gyan & Bent, he could not change anything tactically, his substitutions were too late, and incorrect, he played Anton as a CM, and a left back, and a right back, there's a list a mile long.

Despite all this, his overall job was decent enough, he moved us in, he'd have received a hearty welcome on any return, had he stepped aside with dignity, and not tried to make us all out as witch-hunters cos he's from down the road.

He meant well, lost his way, got sacked. Hull is a good chance for him to rebuild his reputation. Up to him whether or not he takes it.
