You see, I still don't understand why we get 1000s over from N.Ireland / Ireland every weekend to support a team who plays in another country? Were I an Englishman, then I would support (and attend) my chosen team from the English divisions. So it begs the question, why do people from N.Ireland / Ireland NOT primarily support (and attend the games of) their local teams who play in their respective leagues?
I follow an Irish team but not to the extent that I support Liverpool. The Irish League doesn't get nearly as much coverage on Television/News as the Premiership and La Liga get on Sky Sports/MOTD and that is a massive factor in young people picking their team as they grow up. The league here has only really started to get tv coverage in the last few seasons as the league was a bit of a joke before that. It's a bit less of a joke now but every year you have teams nearly going bust because of stupid financial management. Teams that win the league have spent so much on winning it that they nearly/do go bankrupt the following season Also, the Irish League runs from March to November so lots of time to support Premier League teams anyway! Forgot to add, the Irish team I support (Shamrock Rovers) isn't really a local team either! Don't have a local team so that gets me off the hook for supporting a foreign team!
What about people from the Vatican who support Roma or Lazio? Or those from Monaco who support French teams?
I don't understand it, born in Hitchin, Hitchin Town FC fan. Anyone who can't say the same is a glory hunting ****.
Noone really lives in Monaco and pretty much all their fans are glory hunters from the south of France that aren't from Marseille. Also I think the Vatican have a team?
As you can see from my Avatar i'm a Newcastle fan. I haven't been to many games (1 home and 1 away) I live in the Gateshead area and have been to more Gateshead games this season
You really do only take what you want from what people say. You're a boring **** and I'm betting it'll not be long until we see the back of your ****ey articles for good
Away and fling yourself off the helipad you wee, useless, cumbucket. I'm sure there's a Scouser waiting to use your AIDS-ridden arse for a spunk depositry. Enjoy your day now
It's prefectly possible to follow more than one team, which is something a lot of the anti-League-of Ireland heads often forget. I can be a regular at Bray Wanderers, and still make a few trips a season to Stoke, and have a soft spot for Hibs. People who say they can't follow LOI because they're a Celtic, Arsenal or Man U supporter are talking out of their holes
the rebels are up in galway tomorow night another win predicted ......top of the league and we're having a laff
It'd be good to see Cork back in the Premier again. I have a soft spot for ye ever since you saved our arses by going bust!
we'll be back last season was about finding our feet again , this season top of the table undefeated the only way is up and **** the FAI and the Revenue commissioners
