West Brom 64 Not that suprising, this is apparently up until last Jan. Not that surprising to see Chelsea sitting at top or City not too far behind in less than half the time. For me the interesting thing is the level Tottenham and Liverpool have spent in comparism to us and yet both finished below us. Shows what a good job Wenger is doing in my opinion we have spent less than half of the top 3 spenders and 150 less than the rest above us. Yes I would like to spend a bit more when required and be higher up the tables competing but the reality is a bit more evident of that we clearly don't have the same cannons of others but have managed to do well with it. I would have also liked to seen the net transfer spend over that period as I imagine UTD and Tottenham will fall a lot while Liverpool, Chelsea and City will not be much effected. I still think we will lead the pack in that.
Doesn't seem to be net spending which makes it all rather pointless. I mean, if I sell the Rolls and buy a Mini, it doesn't point to me being spendthift because I bought a new car. Honestly, I thought the BBC were above this kind of stupidity. If three clubs had bought and sold the same player 50 times just imagine how big the number would be!

In theory, and calling transfer profit "negligable" (which seems stupid to do with 3m quid!!), this means that ALL operating profit from the company (sponsorship / ticket sales / merchandise / memberships / property sales) SHOULD have gone into paying off the debt. I don't know what the Stadium debt was, and nor do I know what the operating profits of the company have been after tax year on year, but i'd be very interested to know as in theory once the debt is gone, ALL of that money becomes available to use for the company to buy players / pay wages, and that's a LOT of cash.
So when will we see some of it spent, I honestly can't see us getting into the CL this year which is going to cost us at least 20 million, this will mean a top player being sold next year, if we have any left.
SSN showed something similar to this a few weeks ago, but in not as much detail. they stated that tottenham's total net spend on transfers over the last 6 seasons was only £5m. where's this info from Bonstar? I'd like to have a look
