According to Deloitte's Sports Business Group. Spurs spend more than Arsenal http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19416223
What a surprise. Cue lots of shouting from Liverpool fans about net spend and how it was impossible for them to spend that much whilst being raped by the Yanks... The only really surprising thing on that list is that City haven't overtaken Chelsea yet. A couple of years ago City looked likely to blow right past you and never look back, but since Torres and Luiz came in I think Chelsea have spent more than twice as much as City.
What is flabagasting is how bad the Duppers' squad is after all that spending. We've spent a lot in 2011 and 2012. Maybe most in Europe with the exception of PSG?? 5purs 5pending more than Arsenal not surprising but Arse spend more on wages. United and City spent a lot too, but mainly quality. Chelsea and Pool most wasteful with cash
****ing hell, and to think that at least £150m of ours was effectively spunked up the wall. I think Liverpool fans could have held a good argument on this before summer, but Kenny's spree was unbeleivable.
The clubs and the money spent in £millions since 2003. 1. Chelsea 673 2. Man City 572 3. Liverpool 414 4. Man United 352 5. Tottenham 350 6. Arsenal 214 7. Aston Villa 201 8. Sunderland 187 9. Newcastle 174 10. Everton 129 11. West Ham 123 12. Wigan 110 13. Fulham 107 14. Portsmouth 100 15. Birmingham 92 16. Blackburn 87 17. Stoke 84 18. Bolton 76 19. Middsbrough' 71 20. West Brom 64 Source: Deloitte What is incredible is how much the scousers have spent in their effort to be among the top clubs (I agree with the OP) and despite this how their squad is the most sh!t, with no CL football for the past 2 seasons. With that kind of massive expenditure they should have been guaranteed top 4. Was it KKK who squandered all this money? United: most VFM
This summer Manchester United have spent double what Liverpool have. Robin Van Sicknote £27 million. Shinji Nomark. £17 million League 1 player £6 million Some dutch nobody £5 million. ------------------------------ £55 million in total.
Not even close Kagawa was £12 mill, its about £44 mill for the 4 of them and Henriquez is still to be confirmed and that still wont come to £50 mill
I dont know any United fans who call Liverpool players childish names. The only one United fans had another name for was Stevie Me but its not really the same.
All great signings. I would be delighted if Chelsea had signed any of them. Aquilani + Downing + henderson... £55m
That's what I was thinking. If we're just making up numbers and stupid names Liverpool have signed: Joe Gaymo Allen: £21 million Fabio Boring: £38 million Some other bloke who's clearly ****: £98 million £157 million in total The spending of Dalglish lives on
The club in general is need of repair. Unfortunately, when Liverpool contacted their insurers they were told it was a write off.
