they only signed RVP last week and we got Sig and Vert ages ago....depends on the situation of the selling club.

for us we needed funds from the Modric move.

true but did we really have to wait all summer to sell Modric as I assume Madrid were interested for a fair time before, be nice if one season we can start prepared.

Taking out Adebayor, who was here last year, who would people rather have? Dembele, Vertonghen and Sig or King, Modric and Kranjcar?

Question for all you smart Yids.
How can Levy be in the Ukraine and Marseille at the same time?
That is what is being reported by different media outlets.
Maybe he knows how to teleport - beam me up Danny!

He was suposedly in Ukraine yesterday so don't see him going straight back there again. I think the Remy rumours have more substance

Personally happy for us to sign Remy over willian

Tough one. King was the best defender I'd ever seen, but his injuries meant at best 20 games a year. It was catching up on him. For those reasons I'd err towards Verts.
Modric > dembele (right now, hoping mousa kicks on)
    Modric > sig
    Dembele > kranjcar
    Sig == kranjcar.

    In short, I don't know :)

Sky are saying levy is in France to sort out a deal for Remy.

    Knew it'd be him. Hmmm.

As Remy seems likely I had a quick check on Wiki and You Tube, it seems he's over 6ft and can head the ball.

Now i'm sure I read somewhere that he's like Defoe, well, er no, he isn't. Sole striker may not be his prime position, but I'm sure he could make a better fist of it than JD, and his attributes will also enable him to play alongside Ade, AFAICS.

So, from my very little knowledge, I'd be delighted to see the player sign for us.

Get Lloris and Remy in, and I will start singing the praises of ENIC long and loud <somersault>

That was Rob Green pretending to be a Spurs fan. He made a good career move!

I thought he looked like the right sided player of a front 3 who could cover the lone role. I'm surprised to see us going for him and willian. I think remy is more versatile and a better known quantity.

No of course not- its the Moutinho bit.
ESPN reporting that Levy is still in London not France as previously stated.

He paid for one ticket out, but three back - Remy, Lloris and M'Villa would be nice!

Pretty much my thoughts Spurm, I know next to nowt about either, but from the little I do know, Remy is what we want. I just don't see Willian as a striker, Remy is that as well as playing wider.

6ft, isn't actually that big for a striker who could be playing a lone role though, GH.

he's pacey and skillful. but from what i've seen of him, he wasn't particularly good at holding the ball up. better than defoe however. For me, He'd be better used on the right.

then we have the issue of a dodgy heart which flagged up in his marseille medical. could that result in him failing a medical with us??

A club statement criticised the 31-year-old for failing to arrive in Florence after they paid for his flight to finalise the move.

"He's not worthy of our city, our shirt and the values it represents,"

I love how unprofessional some clubs are <laugh>

I wouldn't get your hopes up. It strikes me as someone trying to get some attention.

Well he's a lot bigger than Defoe, and the farce we've put up with for the first two games.

I'd rather have someone like Carroll, Fletcher, a known Prem player, but from the little I know Remy is a massive upgrade in our system to JD.
