Just had my coffee break and managed to have a quick read of the ´Marca´ - pro-Madrid sports paper, Granero was at the match last night (not playing) Madrid won Supercopa on away goals (4-4) against Barca, anyway paper says that the fee for Granero will be around 8 MM Euros (6.4 MM GBP), five year contract worth around 2 MM Euros NET per season in salary (1.6 MM GBP). If this does go through will it be our biggest signing???, I can´t remember the biggest one?, although I believed Sheron was for a long time???. I´m off on a 6 hour drive to Gibraltar soon so at least I can watch MOTD this weekend. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!!!
I'm not up to speed on how wages are calculated, but dividing the £1.6m you quote by 52 gives about 31,000 per week, is this net of tax? If so, gross would be roughly £62,000 per week. Have I got that right?? (Probably not!)
