I suspect tongue was planted firmly in cheek when this thread was started.

In fact I'm certain of it.

    Don't stress.

    1) Bruce who is an experienced manager and has suffered a backlash for signing his son before is so much of a numpty to sign him anyway even though he offers nothing? Thats what you are saying!

    2) Cant argue but hot prospect...he has never played a meaningful game whereas alex has got experience in this league, good, cheap backup surely?

Rather like Birmingham City fans and Lee Clark.

Looking at their messageboards it seems to be a similar story - dour football, rarely look like scoring, stupid formations being used to accommodate underwhelming signings, etc...

I don't think anyone actually wants Bruce to go though, do they? I've certainly got complaints about some of the things he's done in the past few weeks though.

Posted this earlier on the 'Bruce Out' thread.

We all had preconceptions about Bruce.
When he was at Sunderland he poached Turner and Campbell from us and he developed into a hate figure.
    But time have changed.
    He is now OURS.
As such he deserves and needs our support.

    I stick by it.

1)So a player who has played a 100+ games in this league offers nothing?

2)His contract will be less than numerous options you'd obviously prefer.

    3)You are a ****?

Leicester have a Pearson Out thread, Ipswich have a Jewel one, there's very little that is novel about these sort of threads.

It's funny reading these threads without a moderator hat on, i'd Normally be PMing people asking them to jack in the personal insults, but people calling each other ******s just for having a different perspective is really quite entertaining.

Got to support the manager even if you don't like him. I always took the piss out of Bruce because of some of his Dowie-like wack-job tendencies in his interviews. Not going to lie about it or pretend I didn't. Will back him unless we really start going backwards, theres nothing new yet this year, an early cup-exit and no goals. If we are a ways off last seasons pace after a dozen games then it will be time to ask questions.

Exactly how I feel, but I've said it once and I'll have to say it again THIS IS INO NO WAY A BRUCE OUT OR ANTI BRUCE THREAD merely just a poll to see how people's perceptions of a manager change when he takes over your club and I must say the results so far are telling a story.

So will people please stop banging on about this negativity bollocks as its nothing more than a question, if you find it anti Bruce then you're the one misinterpreting it. You must be women, they have a knack at misinterpreting trivial ****.

No he never the fat geordie bastard is tactically clueless. He won a game away at Chelsea because loads of players were injured and he was forced to play everyone in their right positions. Astonishingly he never picked that team again. He even blamed his lack of IT skills for his sacking at Sunderland. The facts are he is just fcking ****.

When Pearson left he cited a lack of support from the fans. Barmby's comments in the press were often almost verbatum in response to issues raised on this forum.

It's naive to think that the manager and people around him take no notice of what the fans are saying on messageboards like this. The same can also be said for the players.
So if SB visited this site for a few minutes over the last 24 hours he would have been greeted by one "Bruce out" thread and one "Who thought Bruce was a blithering idiot before he was appointed manager?" thread.

I don't know about you lot but if that was me, I would be thinking; "If thats the level of support I'm getting after only five games then **** 'em".

Whether you like the guy or not part of being a supporter is to show support for the team and the manager until such time that it's clearly not working - and that isn't now.

I'd think, "this is part of life as a football manager".

I doubt he'll get upset about it, as I don't think he's that much of a fanny.

He won't read this anyway. He'll have a life.

    Unlike us tools.
