There's some serious mongery going on on the pinkun after the game last night in reference to strikers. May have to do a pinkun highlight.

Why can't they just discuss it properly like us? And for that matter why in recent seasons have cup games drawn such huge over-reactions win, lose or draw?

Totally agree Beef. Lansbury , whilst decent is an example of some fans thinking backwards. We should be after BETTER players rather than persist with wanting Lambert hangovers.

Hughton is formulating his own team. You saw with Bassong and Garrido a shoring up of our defence so well done Chris. The numpty's on Canary call last night criticising after 3 games pining for Lambert! Move on people as it is a new era.

I would have been happy to have both Henri and Pacecho back last season but we have Butterfield/Howson/Snodgrass so there is a lot of cover in the midfield. I agree that we could do with another forward to supplement our attack which is currently our League 1 attack plus Morrison.

Wasn't Russell a target for Huddersfield before they signed Vaughan ? Agree with Supers - might be a longshot and a bit of a risk.

Talking of longshots and risks - Paul Taylor of Posh - valued at £1m and no-one has bid for hom yet - scored last night at Reading and threatened (in parts) at the fiendly at London Road - Posh might take offers ?

Lansbury is not that good! He is a high level champ player at best. Never going to cut it in the premier league. Just another primadona imo. Glad we didnt get him as I think Butterfield is a much better prospect.

Agree we need a striker...Abdellaoue please, if he wants to come to England... NOT ANICHIBE!

Powell is a striker is he not?

I can't believe someone like arsenal or spuds haven't taken a punt on Berbatov by he way. On his day he's unplayable!

powell is a attacking centre midfielder - think david platt (not of corrie fame but bizarrely also of crewe's academy) and you'll be close. scores goals and plays best in behind the strikers <ok>

He played majority of his games last season for Crewe up top I remember, although Fergie as said he considers him more suited to attacking midfield, I do think it's a position he has in his locker.

Strikers cost a lot of money and we can't have a lot left in the kitty. Selling the likes of Chris Martin will not raise a lot - although I will be livid if he is still here at the end of the week - and we really can't afford to take a chance with another lower league striker as too few make the huge step up to the Premier league. To get quality from here or abroad requires money and to buy we might have to sell. Am I being naive in linking the need for decent money to be brought in with the purchase of Bunn?

Because he is useless, disruptive, gives the club a bad name and ties up a place in the squad. As for Ruddy - we won't have long to wait to see what happens but it won't be the first time a Club has sold to buy. I'm not saying it will happen and I don't want it to happen but there is an element of logic to that line of thought.
