well, i'm sure he'sused to bad weather, as he currently plays in the Ukraine.

as for Huth and shawcross, that could apply to anyone who's "small" in the prem. like dembele, he'll run at people. therefore he'll go down with the slighest of nudges.

Every single player is a risk. Even buying from within the prem is risky. Carroll looked a great prospect at Newcastle and look what happened to him.
Clearly the powers that be at spurs think this chap is worth the money and he must be a player AVB thinks will fit the system

Sorry Roo, but its a common fact that the rain in Stoke is more powerful and potent then the rain in Ukraine, I thought you would know this?

Shakhtar's chief executive is claiming, via the club's OS, that Levy's over there (which we all knew), but that he's also interested in Douglas Costa and Fernandinho, but "casually".
    Plans C and D, perhaps?

Nah, it's just odd to see someone so openly talking about negotiations.
    A genuine ITK.

Not too happy with all this VdV (and Lennon) talk if I'm being honest.

If AVB isn't careful he runs the risk of altering the team too much, which could impact results.

1 other midfielder to provide competition on the right fine, but selling VdV and others to fund Moutinho (who, according to twitter, we've made a bid for) is hugely risky.

It's nice to see us adding quality - but the risk stacks with each one.

I'm very happy about Dembele. A couple of stats were that he was second in tackles in the prem (to Cabaye) and third in completed dribbles. I'm not at all sold on Willian, and don't want to lose either VDV or Lennon. With VDV it's obvious: in a couple of important ways, he's our best player (the ability to retain the ball and create goalscoring chances under pressure). I'd be satisfied if we lose him and gain Moutinho, but I don't know if even that would really make me happy.

As for Lennon, I agree he's not a big creator of goals. But I think he's perfect to have at Spurs because he and Bale provide more of a speed threat at the touchlines than any other team has. This has opened up chances inside. I wouldn't sell him because I actually think he's worth more to Spurs than he would be to other teams.

Of course, the obvious downside to all this is the crucial points Tottenham could lose w/o key players and/or learning to play with new ones...but better now than later.

We might be loaning in Affelay if Willian doesn't go through, according to the Standard.

I hope Madrid won't dump us for having an affair with Barca, as our new relationship has only just started.

I don't love Lennon, he wouldn't even be in my first XI for Spurs.
