We can just about cover Paul Mckenna for 3 games but TC not being available at all for however long is bad and will IMO alow Steve Bruce to bring in a 2nd central midfielder. Meyler and Tunnicliffe on season long loans will do IMO.

It was a reckless tackle and needless. Shame we did not have an Ashbee or Whitehurst type player last night in the team. Husband would have needed more than a wife to get-a-way with that one.

I was also there last night and agree with the 3 posters above. It seems to me that many are basing there opinions on what they hear not what happened. Oli-Cairney and Evans had the midfield well under control until THAT TACKLE.
FFS, But for that Mckenna would not have even been on the pitch to get sent off. Double whammy, imo.

Far too much has been made of last nights loss. Donnys goals came from a great hit N hope shot and 2 shocking pieces of slack marking. Evans missed a sitter just befrore half-time and Simposn hit the inside of the post just before the winner. Small margins again.

Well as the match ref. did not bother then the FA can. Thankfully.

I went last night and do not agree. Oli was largely anonymous -- didn't do anything bad but neither did he step up and take control especially after Cairney got taken out.

The whole Amber Nectar site seems to have crashed.

No, presumably it will be swollen and they'll need it to go down before they can do a scan.

He seems very down, several of the youth lads have been sending him messages of support all day, he's also had a few words of encouragement from Garcia.

For those who quote Swanny about Oli, it was interesting to hear him say it was a good old fashioned and fair tackle on Cairney as it happened. After seeing the photo on Amber Nectar it clearly was a dangerous tackle. You can see the impact on his knee quite clearly. Hope the t**t gets what he deserves!!!

That is a real sissor tackle whch can break legs, as SB said a horror tackle. Can't believe he didn't even get a yellow for it.

I thought those "scissor" tackles were automatic yellow cards?

I thought so too, obviously the ref was blind or he is doesn't know the rules.

Hand ball in the penalty box is an automatic penalty but a ref can only give a decision based on what he sees with his own eyes. Time for technology and fourth referees to get more involved.

Thought a player can still get done for it after a game even if the Ref didn't do anything about it at the time J-D?
