Unconfirmed at this stage, Victor Anichibe from Everton. Loan deal with a view to a permanent deal from what I hear. Thoughts?
Could be a good deal. I do like the fact (in this case) that it is only a loan though in case he does not live up to expectations.
He was cracking for me on Champ Manager, and even in real life he looks to have talent so it wouldn't be the worst signing in the world and actually could turn to be a very good one if Hootun can bring out the best of him
Is he better than what we have? I don't recall being impressed with him in the past. Would he give us any additional options? I don't think so but with a new club he may kick on. I think we need another striker for competition and cover so maybe he will be enough but I'd rather push the boat out a bit further and get someone who could challenge for a starting berth ratehr than keep the bench warm.
Would be ok. Is at least the sort of striker we need with pace. Similar to Vaughan in many ways, not convinced it was correct to send him out on loan.
Strange that most of us feel that a striker is needed and Hughton gets in more midfield players. Are we that bad at knowing what our team needs or is that they are cheaper?
all i know is we've had talks with everton about a deal. don't know if he's first choice, tenth choice or what! he's another of those 'injury prone' forwards everton seem to produce though...
Not really sure about him. Never really been impressed with him previously. I genuinely think there is better possibilities.
? i don't understand the post really. hughton wants a centre forward! we also needed (and possibly still need) a holding midfielder. what's the problem?
yeah that's what i sort of do not understand. Is he any better than James Vaughan? Wouldn't understand it myself
Alright I suppose - similar mould to Vaughan but less injury prone. Wouldn't cry if we signed him but wouldn't dance in the streets saying all our problems are over either. Think we need a.n.other ......
I would rather play chris martin, and I cant stand chris martin. No! We dont want a loan. I say spend a bit of money on a goalscorer like abdellaoue or similar. Whenever iv seen Anichibe he has missed some glaring chances and looked vastly ineffective.
i think the problem is, we don't have the money to splash out on a striker like abdellaoue!! hence the loan possibilities. i think some fans need to understand that we do not have much money to spend. this is making it very difficult to get a quality striker so a loan is most likely in my opinion, whether that be anichibe or guidetti or god knows who! i would suggest he would be better than martin for us though, if only cos he has pace.
This is our predicament - by not blowing the bank, we are shopping in the bargain basement for pl standards Don't know too much about this guy other than he is still fairly young and a fringe player for them
