I would imagine closer to £10m. Wouldn't pay him any more than £70k a week though.

Anyway, only about 60 hours of the window left open, closes at 11pm Friday I believe.

NO TO WALCOTT! Let him waste his time sitting on Man Citys bench if he is too going to play the Judas card and shaft Arsenal!
Rather we continue to develope Sterling and give Ossama some playing time, could/hopefully will turn out to be better options in the long run!

There must be better options out there for the wing than Walcott, I've never rated him. He had a decent season last year but he just doesn't fill me with confidence that he can become a reliable and consistant player.

I'd expect Walcott to play a lot for City. Most, but not all games.

I actually went back a few pages not finding it and then realised that in effect I was looking for Gerrez left testicle....I abruptly stopped looking......:D

For the record, I said I would rather chew off my left testicle than see us signing Theo Walcott <ok>

Lol; I can agree to that. In sentiment anyway. I rather like my left testicle; it's slightly larger than my right....

There were a lot of LFC fans wanting to sign a player like Javi Martinez - Bayern Munich and Bilbao have agreed a fee of €40m for him ...

10. That would probably have been more than just Liverpool fans <ok>

Bilbao said that Javi travelled to Munich without their permission. Glad that he is not moving to England though, would hate to see him at anyone else but us. <ok>

Jebus, thats a lot. Happy with Allen and Sahin anyway. Munich still top 3 teams in Europe with Madrid and Barca in my opinion, a long way ahead of any other team.

Update on Walcott: He is asking for £95k a week but AFC are only prepared to offer £75k and will not budge. Walcott has asked his agents to see what LFC can offer and we are his first choice. Both clubs are meeting today to discuss a fee but we are not desperate for the player and will only pay the market price.

via Indy Kaila (Freelance journalist but is extremely reliable)

EDIT: LFC are his first choice if contract issues cannot be sorted with AFC.

Would be good to weaken a rival and strengthen ourselves at the same time. Worth it just to see Dev chew his nut sack off.

And I thought £75k was too much!

Walcott would be massive no for me. He has maybe one good game in every six games, he would cost a lot more then he is worth and he would be on big wages so there would be nothing good about signing Walcott for me.

18. Although I agree in part, I would hate to see any player come to England no matter who they were joining. I love watching quality players, for example Eden Hazard at Chelsea. Can't stand the club, not keen on the player, but he is great to watch <ok>

I forget he is still only 23. That would be a lot for someone his age, maybe after a couple good season he can get a wage increase. £70k max for me though.

Re. Walcott - he is extremely inconsistent but was a key player for Arsenal last season and even RVP acknowledged his contribution (when accepting the PFA Player of the Year award).

Without doing anything special, he would instantly give us something we lack and that is pace (although BR is rectifying this with the intro of Sterling and Assaidi). In addition, we're not in the Champions League so attracting the better players in the world is going to be difficult. Here is a player who has CL experience and already knows what it is like being a big club. As we as only being 23, he can play on the wing or up front - versatility is key in our system and gives us more options.
