Lille are 0-1(agg) vs Copenhagen in their CL qualifier. If they draw or lose they'll be in the EL with us not getting megabucks from the CL pot. They may need to sell him!

Other players and clubs may be in the same boat as this, why play EL football for a French, Belgian, German club etc. when you could be playing in the Premier League playing in the EL too.

We could see a flurry of activity after Thursday nights win vs Atromitos

Should, but it's by no means 100% certain. Lille have started this campaign poorly, with only one win (courtesy of a last minute winner) and 2 draws in 3 league games.

They look to be really missing Hazard (although his replacement, Marvin Martin, has started the season very well) and are short of a natural goalscorer up top.

 

Yeah but Fulham were away to a Championship side, who will do well this year.

 

They've signed Kalou from Chelsea on a free, they shouldn't be troubled for goals

The Real link is humourous to say the least. A blatant last gambit to squeeze some money but all in vain really. The lad has made his mind up and they are just making us wait after we did them on Cabaye.

The CL qualificaiton will have no bearing on the deal. He wants to leave and they are not desperate for the CL money given the sales they've made. Its just a question of time and squeezing more money for me. I think it will happen but we are not desperate so its no big deal.

 

Haha to be fair to Kalou he scored the other day against Nancy. Having said that he missed a sitter in that game when 1 on 1 and also missed a great chance to get an away goal against Copenhagen in the first leg. Maybe he really wants to see how Debuchy will do in the Premier League?

 

Seydoux has come out again today and re-iterated that Debuchy is going nowhere. Not happening this one.

Another season suffering with Simpson in fullback I can put up with him defensively at a push but going forward and bringing the ball from defence he really is clueless, with the tactics we play its imperative that we have fullbacks with attacking qualities. This will be a major flaw in our fluidity having Simpson in RB.

But I suppose we could have worse.
