Hate..a hard word to stomach..

Discussion in 'Sunderland' started by JoRvIk-ViNeGaR-jOe, Apr 21, 2011.

  1. Now then lads,

A bit of a controversial thread this but after my last 18 months in life it's one to throw into the mix. From a family that is split both mackem and mag, I found myself willing the mags to get a result the other night and fully thought they deserved it. Don't get me wrong, I ain't swaying here, I've been banged up that many times for my physical violence against the darkside and in the past had that much hatred against them that I had to question my past the other night.

For those that don't know, I have been through it the last 18 months looking after my invalid partner and raising our 18 month daughter. My partners problems came about after the birth and although she is functional, her life is no more than a cabbage without absolutely no movement in her legs and needing a 24/7 care which I give her and before you ask, yes I do have help from 9 till 5.

The simple reason for this article is to ask, when does the hatred stop? I have totally lost the desire to hate now and did will the mags to a victory the other night as I knew it would make my dad smile and he needs to ****ing smile. We are a North East of unity and maybe others on here would have had said to them from their grandads 'they know where to come when there's a war to be fought'? That is us, the North East and it's reputation of breeding the loyalist and hardest in this country.

No doubt, there will be others out there that have relatives or close family that is from the opposite side, that sometimes think 'this is all a bit silly this hatred stuff' but hey I'll follow the flow?

I'm not saying stop it but think again when you use the word 'hate' again..

Enjoy your night lads, I'm waffling again but always watch and read..<ok>

Hi Joe, always good to hear from you and remember that little girl of yours gets a kiss from uncle syd, could you oblige please.

Now, hate, a word I truly hate and one used far too easily IMO.

Like many I have had reason to hate and in my younger days thought I did many times. People let you down, wind you up, cause you pain then in cases like yours it's situations and at times I'm sure you felt the world hated you.

For me it changed around 12 years ago when I undrstood what a wasted emotion hatred is, I had been let down by 2 people, people who I trusted, one a wife the other a business partner. One ran away with all the money from the business then when I was down and out the wife decided to go. For a very short time I hated them both then it became clear, only one person suffered through my hatred, me. My business partner is now serving 7 years, a broken man and my ex wife is just that, ex and unhappy. Hatred was replaced by revenge, pay back and its a far better emotion.

Well Joe, I'm going to stop reading your stuff because you always get me opening my heart mate.

As for Newcastle and there fans, how can you hate someone because they support a football team, never undertood that.

Everyone will read what everyone writes because it makes them feel better.. better that someone is probably worse off than them, better that someone is suffering, **** knows. I actually pray now and hope my two ladies are looked after and this daft twat me isn't struck down with a stroke or something. The one thing that is my smile time is awaking these two lovelies each morning with a kiss and a ' hey, I'm here', love you sweetie'.. I'll never forget these moments Syd..

I know where you're coming from Joe. I will admit that in my younger days I absolutely hated the Mags, no question about it.
It's only in the last few years that I have mellowed, mainly due to the fact that 3 of my 4 sons are Mags!

Newcastle played very well and deserved to get something out of the game against Man Utd the other night. Watching that match made me realise just what is missing from our game............fight!

  5. Thing is Dorset I had a 93-3 record as an amateur boxer and have no fight left in me at all. Totally ****ed in all departments after the last couple of years wonder why we all get stewed up over things? Mind saying that, I had a night out in York last week and pole axed a leeds fan but that was only to keep the hand in and shut the twat up..<cool>

Cheers Joe - theres many on here that don't like my style, am glad you do.

Can I say that your very positive outlook on life is fantastic, considering what you and your family have had to deal with in the last 18 months.

    I applaud you.

Any bother with those filthy CRAAS, I'm your man.

Oh right, masterbater simpson ~ We're all running scared. Tosser.

Vinegar Joe, I've read your situation on here before and I'm sure you will have the good wishes of 99% of black and whites for a happy ending. I know thats not the right words, but I'm sure you'll know what I mean. It doesn't matter who you are, how much money you have, how happy you are, life's always got some **** to fling at you, it seems more for you than others. Light at the end of the tunnel and all that, I hope.

And Dorset. Nice to see you've brought up the majority of your family the right way mate. <ok> I had a pint in the cricket club the other night and thought of you. In a manly way you understand....

The other son supports Man Utd so I have failed miserably as a father Sombrero :( I sometimes get in the cricket club with my step brother when home. Do you drink in there regularly, because my step brother gets in there quite often? We used to be regulars in the Catholic Club a few years back, but it's gone to the dogs...

I only go in the cricket club for away games, and the odd home game I don't get to. Don't often go in the catholic club, but a lot of my red and white mates still do. (Franky Wheatley's mob). I went in the for the game against you lot, probably 65/35 red and white, but not a scrap of bother.
