Who remembers this TV show?
As Richard Herring mentions that it's available via gofasterstripe.com on pretty much all of his podcasts, it's difficult to forget about.
They want £25 for it. Robbing bastards. Series 2 is meant to be coming out soon anaw. I'm just catching up with RHEFP from this year now.
They paid to publish it themselves as the BBC didn't think it was commercially viable. Herring pumps out so much free stuff anyway that there's no way I'd spunk £25 on it.
Aye, they are trying to charge £20 for AIOTM CD's on gofasterstripe when you can get them for free on Podkicker. Baffling. I still want to buy First of Fun just for nostalgia, same with TMWRNJ just because I remember it being outrageous for Sunday morning TV.
I managed to lose a load of podcasts and there are vague references to some sort of fall out. He is pretending to be upset that Collins got the 6 music gig. Aside: Cumkin
I think Herrin got taken off 6Music and replaced with Josie Long. Collings and Long lasted 6 months. Herrin just got his 20 year old script for a comedy about Rasputin commissioned by the BBC.
Yes. They had been filling in for Adam & Joe on BBC 6 on a temporary basis for almost a year. When Adam and Joe decided they weren't coming back, the BBC teamed Collins up with Josie Long as permanent replacements. While Collins notified Herring in advance, he presented it as a fait accompli. Herring felt he had been stabbed in the back and didn't talk to him for months. After Herring had calmed down they met at a local cafe for peace talks and ended up going back to Herring's place to record a podcast. Herring spent most of it making snidey comments about what a Judas Collins had been. It's very uncomfortable to listen to. A few days later, Collins informed him he'd lost interest in doing any more. They're sort of talking again. Collins was at Herring's recent wedding, and they met up for a beer in Edinburgh last week. However, I don't think there'll be any new podcasts from them.
