I think you'll find it is not Spurs that spends silly amounts on players after a windful on an individual player. That mugging of Chelsea on Torres was wasted on mediocrity. Our club is shrewder than that.
no need for the vitriol, it wasn't a dig on levy's part, Levy cannot change the fact that it is common knowledge that you have sold your starting CM and are looking for an almost direct replacement and have a wedge of £30m to do that with.
I think he has a point. Going into the end of the transfer window with a pocket full of cash for players that clubs aren't keen to sell will be a problem. I think that's why we appear to be going for several players we've already been quoted prices for. Sign one or two of them early and suddenly the rest can't use the Modric cash as a reason to bump up their prices.
the chairmen of other clubs will ALWAYS try and get as much as they can. The modric deal won't affect that. Just because we have £30m doesn't make player X worth £30m.

we're ITK spurm. haha NOT! I've just spent about the last 3 months finding as many sources for info as possible. websites and twitter mainly. unfortunately a lot of it is bollocks. so, at the same time, i actively try to sift through and delete people who talk nonsense. what I'm left with, is people who claim to be ITK. still working progress, but I do it for my own benefit, as i'm impatient. if i hear something from someone who I think tends to not bullshit, I pass it on. There's not necessarily any credibility with these ITK's either, but it's better than most, and still working progress. - they've usually been right about something or are people who are like me, also hate the bullshit. therefore if they say something, I think it's more likely to be true. in the search type "THFC" and it'll show anyone who's hashtagged something Tottenham related. you'll start to see posts throughout the day and over time you'll get to see those that post transfer news. you'll soon workout who is a bullshitter and who isn't. we wary of users with ITK in their twitter username. At this time of year, its very hard not to want to believe everything!! haha
