- official http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=3000 Quote: STRIKER Mohamed Bangura has returned to Swedish side, AIK, on loan until the end of December 2012. The Sierra Leone internationalist joined Celtic from AIK in August last year, and he has made 16 appearances for the Hoops, though he has been unlucky with injuries during his time at the club. Everyone at Celtic wishes Mo every success during his loan spell at AIK.
When he tries to come back in January can we just pretend we don't know who he is and not let him in?
Lennon will need to get a Striker in now... Anyoen heard any rumours about Hooper going to Fulham for £6.5m?
Surely not. Stokes is out for 2-3 months and Murphy is away to sign a loan deal with Ipswich. Who'll that leave us; Tony Watt and Georgios.... Do the board want us to get roasted 6 times in Europe?
If we qualify for the CL I don;t think he'll be away. He'll want a crack at it. If we somehow manage to blow it on Wed night then it might happen.
As you say ST, it probably all depends on Wednesday's result. The squad needed one anyway Venom, so hopefully Lennon's ready to pounce after Wednesday ... only two days left after that! If we keep Hooper: Russell ... Russell can play up front or on the wings. If we lose Hooper, then Russell and AN Other! AND A CB!!!
Apparently we have deals ready to go. One of them is a CB! Just need to get over the line on Wed night and they'll be Celtic players by Thur or Fri.
Matt McGlone is pretty good with his info He has said we are trying to get 2 in by Friday with another 3 that we are in contact with - this might just be offers made for 3 but only buying 1
I just hope if Bangura comes back to us, he plays well and scores goals. We have "fans" who seem to take almost as much delight when a new signing flops as they would when he stars. Bangura was never going to play well at Celtic without going out on loan and getting his confidence back. His confidence had been shattered here.
