All Hail Caser, we have a new King .......... of the goalkeepers. Long may he succeed. Great buy indeed. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2194417/Julio-Cesar-sign-QPR-Inter-Milan.html
Ave cesar! I still wait untill the official ,but when its revealed we probably have one of the strongest goalkeeper department in the premier league.
Although I'm pretty sure he isn't as good as he was 2-3 years' ago.....this would be a stunning signing!!
Yet again, TF & Co show their keen intent to transform QPR into a footballing force. Given that this 'exclusive' is in The Fail, it will be nice to see it confirmed on the QPR site.
Still have to pinch myself sometimes. Not that long ago, getting excited (a little anyway!) about signing Richard Langley back from Cardiff and now all this!!
Really confused, just don't understand why Green would come to us knowing another NO1 keeper is coming or why Caser would come to us if he wasn't going to be NO1 choice, to me there is either a bigger plan or something don't smell right.
Think there is a lot that can derail this before it is signed, sealed, delivered and on the Official! Just look at the recent Dawson saga, and there will the more complications with Ceaser! Kings have many advisors! But why will we have one of the strongest goalkeeper departments in the PL? I hope Cease is still good, but Cerny seems to be unfit, Murhy unknown and unexperienced, and Green is not worth a position in the 25.
Agree with this. MH should have bought Green after a long and detailed evaluation of his strengths and weaknesses, prepared to back up his decision in the face of criticism by showing confidence in the player. Yet, one 0-5 defeat, when the defence were playing poorly too, and MH seems to have cut the legs from under the guy. Why? Have management stepped in to say we need goalkeeping insurance or is it just Hughes trying to get competition into the position. Either way, the timing ( I concede there's no option on timing given the imminent closure of the transfer window) is going to further dent Rob Green's own confidence. I just hope Green comes to see it as a challenge.
Hi Vale_Hoops .............. It would not surprise me if MH moves Green on. With so much movement happening at our club, nothing would surprise me at present.
Anybody reckon Green could be loaned out or even sold. Can't see the current England number 2 sitting on the bench watching the best years of his life go buy. Would be incredible if MH admitted a his mistake and got rid. Otherwise we are going to have a very frustrated No2. Don't know of any other club in the Prem that would have 2 established keepers.
Green is not established! He looks like he neeeds serious help. Man U have 2 good keepers - I think Lindegård would have been a great loan or buy for us if we could get him.
I can't see how MH could get rid of Green now, after ONE bad game, without the decision seriously reflecting on MH's own judgement and decision-making
Well I have never seen him have anything other than apalling games. Very bad games for us in the PL in 2 out of 2, and I read on here that he was bad in Pre-Season, and he seemed bad from the clips I saw. Most West Ham fans didn't seem to rate him. He was awfull for England. MH made a big mistake. If, as he seems to be doing, he owns up to it, and replaces him, Respect for that at least! Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone has the bottle to admit them and fix them. Trouble with MH is that he has still not fixed our huge weakness at CM and CB either. He's got 4 more days and we need a Quality Keeper, CB and CDM minimum.
