He's got a pretty good chance of becoming the new mod, so it could be bye-bye to you very soon - it's all very upsetting I know... In all seriousness, it shouldn't really count as "bringing your mother into it" when he has made no particularly personal remark about her.
I think it says a lot more about him, to be honest. The only thing I said about his mother that she clearly had short arms... IUTBJF: if having that suggested to you by a faceless poster on a sports forum offends you, seek counselling. That is all.
I'm not being funny, of the candidates mentioned, if selected, this board will descend into a childrens playground. See above post. Seriously reconsider (again) OLM.
There must have been a lot happening I missed OLM, I haven't always agreed with your posts, that why the board exists, but your modding always seemed very fare and not complained about. As I said I must have missed something. Change your mind mate all your replacements sound decidedly iffy.
I think (from observing recent posts and nothing OLM has said to me) the issue is less to do with the modding itself, more that when he's making posts it says moderator next to his name, and some people lately have been unable to seperate his opinion from that position. It means when he's posting as a fan, which is what we all are first, it's causing him hassle that he can't be arsed with any more.
there's a rumour the reason he's stepping down is to takeup a lucrative mod position on the Leicester board for double the money..
Clearly just agent talk in order to get a new contract. OLM I like your posts on this and the other forum. If you are holding back then I would rather you not be a mod but you seem to be a fine one.
Well OLM - you've had occasion to pull me up, in the past (incl. by PM). I might piss you off, and vice versa, but I do really appreciate the work you do on here. So: reconsider, please?
**** group but kind of appropriate...
I don't get time to post as much as I would like, but OLM for me has done a great job and appreciate by the vast majority on here from what I have seen. I am on the side of hoping he will reconsider.
Thanks for all the comments and all the PM's, it's very much appreciated, but I really think it's time for me to move on.
nah your not. i know him and he is very quiet, low key and non-opinionated. in fact when he does have an opinion, it's usually b'lox and involves Alex Bruce. hehehe. he will morph as John Fenwick............over to you OLM..............
What a shame, your an excellent mod olm, dont agree with everything you say on here, but you have always come across as fair and knowledgable, but if your getting grief, then totally understand your decision.
Just got back from two weeks in Greece, so apologies for the lateness of my post on this thread - hello tiggggers Rather than just doing it by private message, and at the risk of annoying some posters from my own board! I'd just like to put on public record that I'd be very sad to see OLM step down. I've always found him to be approachable, co-operative (when requested), fairly courteous and on the whole well meaning - yet able to stand his ground, fight his corner and respond, where necessary, with, on the majority of occassions, just about the right degree of wit and directness, depending on the circumstance. None of us is perfect and in the heat of the momentum we can all 'lose it' temporarily - I know I have - and we can all get it wrong e.g I tipped you tossers for a top 6 finish this season. Being a mod can, at times, be a thankless task - because it is impossible to please everyone, especially when your own posters are involved in a spat with another board. OLM, in my opinion, has been a very good mod - and, as such, and as I've said above, it would be a shame to lose him.
Because the board have to decide a replacement mod, nobody needs to vote on a replacement poster. If they did, you wouldn't get in. ARF!
