First sacking of the season (?) Andy Thorn from Coventry. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19386206
My crystal ball says it will be....it's a bit murky but....no, all i can see is it will be at the end of september ! Oh wait a minuite ! Someone with a very flat head and a very boring persona
I have a feeling it'll be Alan Knill at Scunny...0-4 at home to Yeovil...jeez. I live next door to a Scunny fan, I asked him if Knill has lost the changing room he replied 'lost his feckin way to it more like or never found it in the first place, it didn't feel like he'd ever feckin met the players'
I suppose in reality it's the same as a win and two losses. Still, getting sacked in August is ludicrous.
I guess, the situation you mentioned is the same Leicester in and they don't seem to want to get rid of Pearson, yet
According to their fans (well, the one that I know), the squad they had last season was good enough to finish mid-table in the Championship, and with the players still there they should be in the top-2 come next May. The reason he was 'let-off' taking them down was because of the many off-field issues they had. A draw at Yeovil clearly wasn't a bad result as they've started well, and a point against Sheffield United is never going to be a bad one in the context of the Third Division. It seems he's been sacked for blowing a 2-0 lead at home to one of the Division's smaller clubs. He could have had worse results against worse sides.
I know it isn't necessarily your opinion, but everyone thinks their team's squad is better than it is really. The Championship is really competitive and there are so many good teams but 3 will always have to go down. Ignoring all the history bollocks Coventry were one of the smaller clubs in the league, I don't think anyone was surprised that they went down really.
You don't have to tell me that, I've conversed with The French Tickler before I do think that their relegation had been a long time coming though. They'd had close scrapes in the past, and with the players they lost last summer and the whole SISU fiasco it was inevitable.
