Dawson in O'Neill's sights as Sunderland boss plans to continue spending spree

Martin O'Neill is considering making his move for Michael Dawson after the Tottenham defender rejected a move across London to join Queens Park Rangers.
The Black Cats boss has been busy in the transfer market after landing Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson for a combined £22million in recent days.
And a further £9m could be added tot hat total if he can persuade the England international, 28, to head north to the Stadium of Light, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Wanted man: Dawson could be heading out of White Hart Lane

It was revealed earlier this week how Queens Park Rangers had a £9million offer for Dawson accepted — but the protracted move has stalled over personal terms.
Dawson is determined not to be pushed out of the exit and will only contemplate a switch to a club he feels can match his ambitions.
And, despite Jan Vertonghen, Younes Kaboul, William Gallas and Steven Caulker all seemingly being ahead of him in the central-defensive pecking order at White Hart Lane, Dawson feels he can work his way into Villas-Boas’s plans.
It is understood he has serious reservations about a move to QPR, telling friends he is very reluctant to join manager Mark Hughes's revolution

Dawson would be a good signing mate rate him over O'Shea any day. Think maybe 2 defenders in by Friday then a surprise package.

Talks sport know nothing about transfers. They keep saying that all transfer rumours are on their web site, but it's just a copy and paste job from the bbcs gossip column
