Well the ball is in QPR's court to make a statement on Joey
At the moment we are becoming a laughing stock over this

Hey Doug, there's a surprise have been to loads of places over here but never to Zeewolde and because I live in Utrecht I follow the local boys as I always follow the home team. At the moment I feel MH is a bit of a Klootzak purely for his tactics but I also the Jojo is to and he's lastest tweets slagging off the club are out of order IMO. I am a great believer in live by the sword.... and if you dish it out be prepared to take it, and I also believe he has never had the best interests of QPR in his heart lets face it we saved his faultering career after being chucked out of Newcastle where it was looking like nobody would touch him with a barge pole and on top of that we will still be paying him several million pounds for at least the next 12 months, if that isn't looking after someone I don't know!

Flan, some valid points, but I followed all the tweets from Joey last night
What I can't understand from the club is the following
Find out no squad number on news, no phone call
Not being allowed to train with squad
    Not being invited to games
Offering to resign and accepting punishment
Posting that under new regime we would never have signed him

If someone treated me like that in my job, I too would want to leave

Forget all the rumours of unrest and slagging off his team mates he did not do enough on the pitch.
Best thing he did was that 3-0 salute to the Wolves fans when taking that corner, he was even lucky not to get done for incitement with that.
His corner taking and free kicks were mostly wasteful and unfortunately his reputation I believe has affected his game when it comes to tackling as every even dodgy looking tackle ended up in the book.

Good point loveit I forgot to mention that and Doug probably some of those things happened but we are only getting his account of things and he always comes across as the victim to me, he must shoulder the responsibility for messing up big time. If you or me acted like a complete twat and broke the rules in your job would you expect your employer to have the same respect for you?

Flan, as I mentioned above the club need to make a statement on this
Neither Joey or the club are innocent here, I just felt that last night Joey was open and honest about how he saw the situation and did not feel he was slagging of the club

Sometimes I do as my daughter stayed in Holland and lives in Harderwijk
If I'm over again, I will let you know, maybe meet up at an Utrecht game

If QPR had accepted barton's offer of his resignation, wouldn't that have been an easy way out for a player that has cost the club a lot in terms of wages? If he is as good as he says he is, ie an England international then surely he would buck his ideas up and play football rather than do his best to get sent off or band? Barton is 29 years of age, so he should have grown up by now....and if his employers are somewhat pissed off with him, then he has no one else to blame other than himself? And for him not to realise that his ban was going to last until November, he would then have needed at least a month to get fit so that rules out part of December, then MH is correct in not including him in the 25 man squad

Interesting thread this. I am not a Barton fan, but was a Mark Dennis fan. Dennis had talent and could play Barton has ability but appeas to choose to use it infrequently.

his contract has been torn up by mutual consent so he is gone, qpr needs to forget he ever played for us and move on.some like him some don't,i'm in the latter never wanted him from the start.

if it was the club that ripped it up then his remaining wages would have to be honoured, but being mutual consent means he waves bye bye to that.only in football does this happen if i got sacked from my job i would get naff all except my tea mug and dirty overalls to wash.still not one to bitch BUT IT FECKIN STINKS!!!! ahhhh thats better

maybe we could do with him now
problem is the clown got HIMSELF banned
why waste a shirt number on someone who cant play for nearly half a season
the way joey behaved was unprofessional
with hindsight we should never have signed him(yes i did say so at the time)
i say thanks joey now **** off to france
