If we do sign Willian, do we get the rest of the Black Eyed Peas as part of the package or do we have to sign them separately?
At least Ashley Cole might feel a bit better knowing he won't be the only player in the league that ****ed it up with Cheryl Tweedy. they've got so much to talk about, like when and where Will.i.an shagged Chezza while they were still married!...I can see them being bezzies!
Sky are suggesting that we're back in for remy. If true, that sounds to me like it's a last resort as other transfer targets have broken down. Not the solution from what I've seen of him, and a potential panic buy IMO. To much like Defoe, but if someone else out there has seen more of him and thinks differently, then fair enough. If there's legs in this, it'll be interesting to see how much he's gonna cost us. anything over 10-12mill is excessive IMO, especially as he's similar to what we have. Id sat is also likely we'll lose Defoe if this is the case. Seems completely pointless and a sideways move to me. But hey, that's just my opinion on what I've seen.
Well all summer I've been saying we need two strikers and a keeper, after yesterday a midfielder has to be added to that list. We've got one striker in, too late to have any effect in our first two games, now there's three more to go. Busy week I hope.
Sorry, I'd say we needed more than that to be honest GH10 Two more strikers (or one & a rightsided attacking midfielder) Two more midfielders One more defender AND a goalkeeper with the VERY minimum in the next week being another striker, midfielder & goalkeeper as you say In an ideal world I would hope for the likes of Damiao, Willian, Moutinho, Dembele, Perrotta and Lloris but know that ain't going to happen but just the likes of Remy, M'Vila & Butland aren't going to cut the mustard
Fai comments OOD, and we agree on the bare minimum. Of course I want more too, but let's be realistic, this is ENIC we are talking about, Prudence personified. I doubt we'll even get the satisfactory minimum TBH as you say too, but I live in hope
Well if you listened to the crap given out by usual suspects on twatter and the like (and we ALL know who they are) then everything was rosy, then not, then all good, then not, and now it appears we will all be happy this week as DL is in OVERDRIVE! even though half the players they've talked about are still way out of our league but that means f**k all cos they're usually lying little sh*ts
While I think Defoe is barely in the top 100 strikers in the world and we need one in the top 25, they are very expensive. I don't think someone like Ba, Cisse or Remy is really much of an improvement. Berbatov would make a lot of sense, even if I would need a peg on my nose.
I thought the same thing about Berbatov. You need someone good enough to play lone striker and score if Ade is injured and to spell him, but someone not so good they can't sit on the bench for long periods. Berbatov seems like the closest thing to the right answer. But it can't work since I hear he's on 100,000, there's no way we'll pay that, and Man U ain't gonna fund him for us, either.
Disco's here and disco's there! First mention I've seen of a player for Malaga called Isco, nothing about him, just mentioned. I watched a bit of La Liga last week and he was playing, stood out aswell, had a good game. I then found out Tim Sherwood went to watch him. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-plan-50m-spree---1279761
But if we can't afford the top strikers, there are others out there. Carroll for example is a way better line leader than Defoe, and with the right deal we surely could have got him, if only on loan. TBH Carlton Cole, Shane Long, and any amount of players would probably lead the line better than JD, there are affordable players out there, we are failing to find them.
Taken from Shakhtar's own English language site: Shakhtar: Pyatov, Srna, Rakitskiy, Kryvtsov, Shevchuk, Hubschman, Ilsinho, Mkhitaryan, Dentinho (Costa, 61), Teixeira (Eduardo, 61), Adriano (Devic, 61) Unused subs: Shust, Kucher, Gai, Fedetskiy
I'm not with you on this one GH10. It is not a matter of 'leading the line' it is someone who can keep the ball and bring others into the game, while occupying both centre backs to free up space for others. Ade can do this but none of those you mention would be any better than Defoe. We've already tried Pav and Crouch without success, and they are both way better than those you list.
Have you seen much of him? I only saw him in that one, i was thinking one of the 'in spain' posters might pick up on this when they see it.
