Skrtel probably should have just dribbled it around ever City player and made it 3-1.

Yes, I know, but I'd like to see Suarez on the flank coming in with Carroll in the middle. NOT having a go at Borini, but I thought Andy ended last season with the shirt in his possession. Stirling looks fab - who steps down for Sahin?

Intriguing. Dempsey is the obvious one to speculate.

Think he's right about the free kick being harsh on Rodwell, but ffs it was 30-odd yards out - and the wall was perfect. Give a little tad of credit to Luis, eh?

Got to say, Tevez is still a class act. Imagine had we teamed him up with Torres four years ago like Rafa wanted at the time? :emoticon-0120-doh:

Lucas at the moment. Hopefully not a major injury but it is a reality check and shows we still need to take it easy with him.

    Midfield V arsenal:

    ----------Allen-----------
    -------------Sahin-------
    ----Gerrard--------------

Do we read any thing into Shelvey getting on ahead of Henderson?

Robbie Savage was talking on the BBC about players successfully moving to the Premier League from the lower leagues. He said he feels the best ones comes from the teams with no expectation on them for small fee's are most successful as they have less pressure on them.

Shelvey could be turning into a great example.

He's done nothing Gerrard hasn't done several times for club and country.

Talking of which, was it just me watching on the telly or is Gerrard...... ordinary? Hope it's just my armchair view. Don't expect him to be like Istanbul every week, but he looks his age suddenly.

Gerrard only does it for Thierry Henry.

And Gerrard plays a quieter role now. The attention is not on him any more.

I think he played a more disciplined role than he used to a few years ago. Still wicked delivery from out wide though and his passing was spot on. But we don't rely on him anymore which is good news. Maybe we'll stop being called a one man team now <whistle>

Think we should play Andy against united - their goalie looks petrified of crosses and Vidic seems to be holding the whole defence together.

    Yeh banter....

There is a reason you, noblex and davidako jumped on my comment praising Liverpool for making city look bad. Because you are all morons who ruin your own clubs board.

Hell if I got banned from this board you 3 morons would still carry on ruining thread after thread anyway.

If you are so bothered about the effort chris puts in ( on probably the best match day threads on the site ) then why are you trying to ruin his thread? Explain that one barry. I shall quote my original post iff needed and the first reply from noblex......and then another LFC fan who replied like a human being and then sky.... just to show how pathetic you ****s are.

Skrtel or Johnson for vice captain? I'm a Johnson man myself, but Skrtel is awesome nowadays. And yes, Coates, getting more and confidence in him to come in and do a job now. Hurrah for Brendan picking him and Sterling.

I quite clearly posted about the result and praised Liverpool for what is a good result.

Im not arguing about this, that is what happened and if you idiots have a problem then there is little that can be done on my end.

Although it seems like a loss I'm glad we have our first point under our belt. Losing against West Brom last week was a huge disappointment to us all, and it sucked the optimism out of most people and that's why today's performance was needed the most, the fact that we lost Lucas to injury early on and our midfield bossed the game shows that BR is developing a good spine to the team.

Allen was absolutely immense, only misplaced one pass which says enough. Sterling at 17 years of age, full home debut against the Champions.. Well he stepped right up to the plate and you couldn't ask for more from the lad.

BR saying that we could have a "few" more signings is music to my ears, Dempsey probably being one and I'd assume one/both of Spearing or Adam to leave. If Dempsey + a striker comes in.. I'd be very happy indeed
