I don't know, if they get a decent start this season (which you could argue they are having), they will be comfortably mid-table I think.
Have to agree with this. All the reports I have seen have said we were thwarted by the brilliance of their keeper. We all need to keep the faith. A couple of signings and a win and it's all systems go!
Since we are clearly going to get relagated, shouldn't we start making plans for the 2013/14 season in the Championship? ...and yes boys, that was sarcasm. Two games and the doom mongers are out already. Sheez!
I watched the highlights this morning. Southampton had a fair bit of bad luck, coupled with some poor finishing. I don't think you will go down, but you will be nearer the wrong end of things, than some have been rather wildly predicting on here.
Hi Meowth. I'm still confident we will be fine. Could do with some sort of result against United because of the international break but no need to panic.
Alright Pompey , I seem to have a fan club on merely intending to comment upon my poor English and grammar (their posts are awfully written to) , we will struggle unless we sign quality players , simple as that .
I may have missed it, I don't have time to read everything, but have you said before what you believe the team requires? I personally think one experienced central defender and a creative wide player and the team will be well enough equipped to at the very least avoid relegation. I was wondering, since you seem to have been the most disappointed in yesterdays result of anyone else here: Do you think the team needs more additions than that? (directed at 'gomarchingin', excuse me)
. Two CBS if possible , creative midfielder , winger , and a keeper , if my typing is bad , my spelling , is wrong , my grammar substandard I deeply apologise as I am in a bar rammed !
He missed off the left back he wants I also expect that this will be the fourth time in a row that City win from behind.
Oh I don't care about that, I can understand what you're saying! Interesting, I would be inclined to keep Hooiveld in the team personally... though he has made mistakes I think he will develop into a good Premiership defender with a bit more experience. His distribution and offensive aerial ability are often excellent. Don't really have a problem with KD either, if anything he deserves at least half a season from a loyalty standpoint. You seem to think the team needs a lot more than I do then, fair enough.
The only really good save Al Habsi made was the long range effort from Lallana that he tipped onto the bar. We Just didn't create the good chances that you'd expect someone like Lambert or Rodriguez to take. Bad luck is missing a string of sitters, not the keeper saving some half chances and getting caught out by a more clinical side. Plenty of work to do. I watched the highlights on MOTD and it really didn't tell the whole story.
I really like Fox, great delivery and reasonably solid...ish haha. I hope they don't bring in a new left back. I feel like the only thing that would ultimately achieve would be to impede Shaws route to the first team.
Lets say we signed Kana Biyik, Yoshida, Ramirez and Phillips, Would thate make you reasonably happy with our lot?
I agree with you Callum, additions of one CB and one winger. Whoever said "why did we go for Buttner then" earlier, good point. But I now get the feeling that Nigel is happy with Fox and Shaw at LB, and the move for Buttner was because we thought he was an excellent prospect rather than just needing a new LB. Just my view though but I am perfectly happy with Fox for the season.
