Thanks sounded like we could have knicked it today if not for our usual poor finishing. Was going to be a tricky one today so pretty happy with the draw, promoted sides in recent years seem to have carried on from where they left off in League 1 so they're tough opponents. Good luck for the rest of the season (barring the return at the KC).
Just back. We look, very much, a work in progress. We looked really slow in the first half. Bruce Jnr looked quite capable despite what I've been told. Faye knows what he is doing but is really slow (as I've been told). Proschwitz is still off the pace IMO. I would 100% start Simpson next game. Evans looked really poor today. Aluko is exciting but makes some really poor a timesdecisions. Amos could do with releasing the ball like Mannone did at his best. Simpson looked great. I'm not sure about the 3-5-2. I'd like to see Amos Rosenior Chester Bruce Dudgeon Stewart Koren McKenna Aluko Simpson Proschwitz next game. If it stays 3-5-2 then Amos Chester Faye Bruce Rosenior McKenna Koren Olifinjana Dudgeon Simpson Aluko We need thunderstorms to liven us up!
I didn't go to the game, but listened to the Charlton commentary, I know for the moment we have an issue in scoring, but I know this will come right in time. To get a result at Charlton who over turned over Lesta, is not a bad result, at least we are not getting trounced like the Tractor boys.
Just got back home I don't get to many games but the normal 4 or 5 in the southeast per season, But I have to say I think we will be fine and defo top 8 finish I also think the goals will come. We really do seem to better towards the end and prossie will find his shooting boots very soon. If we get Elhamody and Meyler things will be Even higher up the table.
Spot on there, can't argue with that. Deserves it too, he gave away an awful goal on Wednesday and made Aluko miss two absolute sitters yesterday. He's such a ****ing nob cheese infested bellend!
When is Theos work going to spotted by the HDM ? Far superior to anything they have to offer. Aluko has missed a few very good chances this season but i don't think this will continue, he's a great signing. Nick Kraut seems to be improving already and hopefully Fryatt won't be out for too long. The goals will come. Cheers Theo
Amen to that Bob. I asked Alex Bruce to point my chimney last week. Awful awful job he made of it too.
My point isn't about the goal or the errors, it was that you are having a go at people for pointing out Bruce's error when they've criticised him in the past. Essentially you're having a go at them for being proved right. If they think someone is **** and it turns out they make a huge error in their first game, why would people avoid bringing it up again? The worrying thing is that Aluko seems to have the talent and skill to strike the ball looking back at his goals for Rangers, which is something our other players lack, but in our team he's as bad as the rest in front of goal. All his shots seem to be little backpasses to the keeper, same as the players we already had were doing. So is it the players' individual skills or is there just a growing lack of confidence in their abilities to shoot in front of goal? There must be some explanation for it, it's not even like we just miss chances trying our best we don't even shoot properly we just tamely roll it to the keeper or don't shoot at all.
cant really comment on the game since i didnt make it,tho its quite depressing to see blackpool on 10 goals already, bristol city on 8 and sheff weds on 8.. and then us on 1
My point about Aluko was that he's missed a few good chances to score, but not to worry as this will change. He's at a new club and in a new enviroment, this happens more often than not, but he's clearly a goalscorer. I don't think it's a worry at all. With Proschwitz this is less clear but he does seem to be improving so lets cross fingers. Homer is so far looking very good and he's staking a claim for a start or two. Then there's Fryatt to come back,we already know he can finish. So there's plenty to be optimistic about as when all are fit,the competition for places will be very healthy. Sorry for leaving Aaron out but he's.... a hard worker, lets say !
SAME OLD - SAME OLD SITUATION. Worse than Blackburn actually. City dominate most of the game and create the best chances and still score AN ALAN.!!! Charlton were only a threat when we gave the ball away. Now IF Charlton were better than Leicester just how bad are Lesta at the moment ? But back to Hull City, we got a point and its a better start than last season after 3 games. Shame as the boys deserved all 3 points mind. Nevermind another clean sheet and so we move onto Doncaster tuesday night now.
Same old, same old. We're only 3 games into the season and already in that familiar position where we can say that we have the joint-best defence, but the poorest attack. Didn't take long
