True. Guly was poor in possession and needs to stop giving away silly fouls, especially when we are chasing a game.

Not at all fussed with the result, some good phases however the passing looked a bit hesitant the whole match, once that's ironed out we will be fine. I don't think Steven Davis adds enough creativity although maybe that's his role. Really impressed with lallana and fox today, the defense was pretty good throughout, just lacking in quality passing and movement up front.

Good to see a sense of perspective from everyone on here...

Wasn't a great performance in the second half but really Wigan had one chance which they scored (the second goal looked like a foul to me, and we wouldn't have been that open had they not scored their first) and their goalkeeper had a great game. On another day the result could have been different. The same could be said of Wigan's game against Chelsea last week too so let's not kid ourselves that they were there for the taking.

I think a lot of people on here need to count to ten before posting frankly.

Wigan always do well against the bottom sides as they are good at keeping possession. Don't panic, there is no pressure on our next two games, we just have to hope we can grab something in one of these games or at least not get cut adrift.

One slight hope for next week, not the best circumstances though. Rooney's got a rather nasty looking injury v Fulham, Rodallega's cut his leg wide open and it looks like a really deep cut. May make it to SMS next week but depends how deep the gash is.

Dont read it then , sit on the rainbow thinking everything rosy , I have a bit more pride in my team , City , and club to think everything is great , this squad is not good enough , accept that and move on and dont read my posts , I will bet you one thing though , the papers will agree with more of my views tomorrow than yours , and the pundits , and the news channels .

As I said before, this wasn't a "must win" game, but we were a bit unlucky and possibly deserved a point. Al Habsi was having a blinder today, it happens. Lallana was amazing, Lambert and Schneiderlin were alright. Clyne didn't do too bad. Don't want to mention the others to be honest.

We did not deserve a point , how did we deserve a point ? It will be interesting to see what the experts say with an impartial view tonight on whether we deserved a point , I watch it and I could not see where we deserved a point from .

This back-four will get us relegated. The CB pairing was suspect at the end of last season because we leak goals when we shouldn't. It should have been the priority for this transfer window. Take a good look at the five goals we have shipped in the past two games and ask yourself how many were defensive errors... that is not being negative; just stating facts.

Guly haters need to watch the game. He was working real hard and both Man C and Wigna have done their homework. They know how much Guly adds to the Saints.

On the game. Fox needs dropping. Clyne needs to be told to pass the ball. If I were Guly I would be haveing a 'quiet word' with Clyne after the game!!!

On the defensive side Fonte is past it as I and many others said from half way through last season although Jos shouldn't have let his man go as often as he did. Maybe we need to get 2 x pacy centre backs????

On the midfield front there's no point playing 4-3-3 with Lallana in that centre 3. It's becomes 4-2-1-3 and that leaves us open on the wings all the time.

On the attackng front we have too many forwards!!!! Lee isn't back yet!!! If we are playing 4-3-3 it need to be rigid with Lallana behind 2 and not in midfield. Those 2 can be whoever but trying to do the centre left and right WILL NOT work in this league!!!

But don't get on Guly's back. One of the hardest workers in both games yet you still doubt. Ask why Clyne gives the ball away so much instead of the simple pass????

    My team for Man U?

    Davis
    Clyne Fonte Hooiveld Shaw

    Guly Schneidelin Davies

    Lallana

    Lamabert Rodriguez

For my money ditch the current. Rodriguez cannot play wide left. Pointless and putting Lallana into midfield makes it too much of a 4-2-4.

My opinion. slate me. but try to understand what I say

Well, maybe Paul Merson is not such a dumb **** afterall. Clyne generally good but a bit relaxed at times, this resulted in him being skinned on the edge of the box. We could say we were unlucky, but we need to improve alot against Man U as they are just relentless in attack

Yeah, he could barely walk afterwards, went off on a stretcher. No blame on Rodallega, Rooney threw himself in front of his shot and Rodallega's legs came down on the inside of his thigh.

Not safe for those of a nervous disposition.
