However annoying it is that we haven't scored, there are plenty of positives to take from the game, especially another clean sheet. I wasn't feeling confident about this game before the match so it says a lot that I'm disappointed at a point.
The argument that too many passes are safe or backwards/sidewards is nonsense. Keeping the ball is never a bad thing and I'd always rather see that than another player who's first touch takes him off the pitch more often than not. I realise most managers seem to prefer Evans but how well has it worked? Most managers are scared to be attacking and play too many attacking players in midfield. Evans is a 'safe' option who will protect the defence but we need more creativity especially in this system with 5 defenders + McKenna. I reckon that if say, Holloway, was our manager he'd use these attacking players like he does at Blackpool and we might score some ruddy goals. His finishing was shocking at Blackburn. Great touch and everything but in front of goal he looked similar to Fryatt, kept just rolling it gently to Robinson's feet. Apart from what I've said above, we need to give Simpson more of a chance, he seems to be able to create space for himself and make chances in the same way Fryatt does. Wasn't there today but it seemd like all of our chances came after Simpson receiving the ball. And most importantly I think we still need more players. I'm wondering how much money is available to Bruce at this point. I know people don't like Allam cynicism on here but I'm just wondering based on the players we're now looking at whether Proschwitz was indeed just a PR gesture by spending £2.6m because apart from that we've just got frees and loans and only Aluko really stands out as someone who is going to make us a better team. Even Faye and Amos are only replacing Mannone and Hobbs so they aren't really adding anything to the team. We need to sign some more proven attacking players IMO but I'm not convinced we'll be able to. Blackpool look a great side. I hope they lose some of their better players because with their finances they might not be able to attract replacements. Yeah like we were saying all last season and the year before....
We are doing OK, sounds like Bruce is keeping up Barmby and Pearsons good work. The only disappointment for me so far is that the lack of goals has not been addressed, just spoken about. It was a problem before the season started and calling it a mentality at the club is a cop-out, the manager could have addressed this pre-season.

Good result that. City seem to play well in this formation and apart from the usual goal starvation things look promising.
Blackpool have grabbed 10 goals so far compared to our 1 What are we doing wrong ? Obviously not scoring but what would you do IF you was the manager ?
We've deserved 3 more points than we've managed to take over the last two games, but in fairness we hardly earned the extra 2 points in the Brighton game. Swings and roundabouts and all that. Oh, and hi Jack.
went to game. boring foot sadly. we stifle teams but can't score ourselves. the rain made it interesting second half. Bruce was excellent again somehow. Amos was excellent too. proschwitz better. he works hard and will come good . koren went missing . should have won it to be fair with Simpson and Faye missing easy chances. Aluko is class but needs to run with head. 3-5-2 doesn't work. no width whatsoever. u can't ask rosenuor and dudge to beat their man they're not wingers! kept cutting back and it slowed all out momentum down. feel bad for tiger travel arriving with 15mind left. disappoints with all the fans sitting down quietly.
Is Stewart even going to be a feature under Bruce? Didnt we get a million pound offer for him? Seems like a lot of money in an asset for someone who is riding the bench.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArg. Seriously,i don't believe iv'e ever listened to a more frustrating game on the radio. Great that weve played well away, but i just know im not going to sleep tonight. Them missed chances, chance after chance after ..... **** off !
No no no he is **** always has been always will be everything is his fault no matter what. This is a law on here.
re 3-5-2 i saw the Man Utd line up when reading the match report and looking at it , Man Utd played 3-5-2 but only with 1 recognised CB Rafael - Vidic - Evra to me that seems an unusual back 3 .
Just got back you looked a decent side had a couple of chances late on but a draw a fair result only poor performance from your side was from sub Mcshane he looked very poor but the rest decent
I agree, the 'again' part of Circa's post definitely seems dodgy. Seriously though, I really don't get why people are being criticised for saying someone is **** when all the evidence points to them being ****, and then when he makes an error that costs us a game, point out that it was his fault. Are we all supposed to avoid saying things about him and pretend it didn't happen because it might upset him or something?
Why dont you say how **** Chester's error was. No?? As a defender the last thing you want is to be facing your own goal. Because Chezz so royally fuked it up the whole defence were facing our goal, the initial error is what caused the goal.
