It doesn't really matter how much you spend on your attack when you can't keep them out at the other end. Flappy looked rather dodgey today.

QPR are bottom with a -5 goal difference, followed by Norwich who also have -5.

Yep, they kicked off at 3PM.

    -

Looking at the results, some big wins for certain sides. By all accounts, Everton were good against a poor Villa side and that's a good result for them. Big win for Wigan away at Southampton. They need to start seasons a bit better and that's a good start.

United might have issues at the back (Mainly injuries) but their attacking players means that it doesn't affect them as much as it would with other sides. Hard-fought victory there against Fulham.

And West Brom pick up a good point away at Spurs. Excellent start for Steve Clarke in his first job as a manager!

Yeh how the **** did he look dodgy? He pulled of some more brilliant saves and Vidic was at fault for their second, wrong side meaning De Gea had to come for it.

Our defence is shocking just now but we have an unfit CB and a midfielder back there. De gea has been the best bit about it.

    Rooney acting like a man.

    • Emily on Twitter: "Wayne Rooney gets a gash an inch WIDE and he just stands there and says "I'm bleeding" most footballers would be rolling around."

Makes Nani's antics after Carra's tackle look even more girly.

Brilliant. Now we just need to avoid a loss against City and we can get this season under way. <ok>

It was bad, but Nani's response was the funniest thing since Rivaldo's legendary delayed face holding!

Can Newcastle beat Chelsea? I think they can, but it'll be tight. I'd say Chelsea should win. 2-1 Chelsea.

And the pathetic acting by Nani was even more 'awful' than the tackle, the bellend even jumped onto his feet to complain before realising he was feigning a bad injury and immediately fell down again.

Fergie reported his leg was hanging on by a thread and that it was a terrible injury.

And Nani played in Utd's next match.<laugh>

There was an earlier chance, where the ball hit the up-right, Fulham did miss, but De Gea got nowhere near it,
and just stood like a spare prick at a prostitutes wedding.

Don't use injuries as an excuse, we could do the same thing and claim we're missing a centre back due to the incompetence of an unfit referee. There is strong rumours going around that Phil Dowd did in fact fail a fitness test.

In contrast, I doubt Rooney will play in the next match. Rooney v Nani = man v hysterical girl's blouse!

Right, Chelsea vs Newcastle is set to kick-off in the next few minutes.

Everything is set up for lots of goals with the likes of Hazard, Mata, Ba & Cisse in both sides.

So, what do we think? High scoring game or a tight game?

I'm thinking 2-2. Cisse & Cabaye for Newcastle and Hazard & Sturridge for Chelsea.

Tight but Chelsea to nick it 2-1. Terry to get one.
