Shocking, that's worse than anything I saw last season, at any point! what did they do pre-season? MH obviously didn't get them to pass to each other, how many times was Cisse offside surely its not hard to look along the line, he could have been clean through on at least 3 occassions.
This was one of the most depressing match day threads I have followed. Enough slagging to last a lifetime! Hopefully it'll get better.
It would hardly have been a risk sticking swp/taraabt on for mackie/hoillet. A winger for a winger won't really ruin the shape. I think Hughes decided he would settle for a point 20 minutes before the match ended. It felt like it was the right time for a sub around 70-75 minutes, but Hughes didn't fancy it. Norwich will probably end up around 15th place, so the fact they thoroughly bettered us puts that performance into perspective. Cisse was terrible during that game, 4/5 pointless offsides. Disappointing.
We were ****, Hoilett offered nothing, Cisse doesnt know the offside rule, Hill was an embarrassment, Traore looked like he couldnt be arsed, Green was lucky not to be sent off and to top it off, we needed someone like Taarabt to pull out a bit of magic to win it for us but we get Derry instead. Still its got to be a worry for norwich that they cant beat a team that played that badly.
Thank you Mark Clattenburg for the soft penalty call, and Bobby Zamora (certainly in the box when penalty was taken + a few Norwich players) having the perception to track the shot in and score.
What is hughes getting payed for? There was no positivity in terms of substitutions. Onouha for hill was obvious, derry for diakite uninventive. It was clear with 20 mintes to go that Cisse wasn't on his game today. Why buy Johnson is we're not even going to give him a run out when our attack isn't performing?
i think it is more of a worry that a team that was beaten 5-0 by Fulham ripped us to pieces and open us up and got behind us. the next three games tcould be some high scoring games.
I think MH got his tactics wrong again Park played well Mackie ran his heart out as usual apart from that didn't rate the others, we are still looking like strangers. Although I can't see how he could have brought Adel on just too risky as he had already used 2 defenders his hand was forced. This formation should have been played last week with Adel and last weeks formation this week without Adel. IMO Finding this a hard watch and feeling like I could use my time more usefully!

I thought the entire forum had agreed that Mackie plays best as an impact sub, can someone tell Hughes. Yeah had a feeling the sub of Derry for Diakite was coming, but if we wanted to play for a point why wait so long for to do it? strange.(unless he has no faith in Derry really odd sub imo) Can't say that I saw any improvment over last week other than Green taking slightly longer to do something stupid ! For the record you do have to tell someone when their not performing as expected and for the record the players don't look to have a lot of faith in MH. A word in the managers ear this weekend please TF. On the transfer front, does anyone really think that the past week of every player in the world being linked to us wasn't a Hughes panic session. It just was, all ready for another one this week. Trouble is I think Hughes may now be putting people off as he has no tactics in his locker that I can see and no system that works even on the radar. PS. Lots of problems. Not hold possession. Whole team guilty of this. Diakate the worse on this imo. Park only player who has head up. Green looked lost / no confidence - make a few errors - we could have lost to another free kick right on the area which the officials missed. Why not play Adel? They are a big team. First 60 mins we played balls in the air. Cisse not reading the game. Zamora selfish / aimless. Hughes will clinically take the point - last 20 mins sensible as they brought on the extra strikers - I know we as fans always want to go for the point. I see no hope for next few games. Norwich really outclassed us today. Worse of all was the lack of ambition - we looked mentally as if no one - Mackie / Park apart - wanted us to win.
Mackie always does us proud on effort an application, just wish we'd use him as a second half impact sub.
