    1. United
    2. City
    3. Chelsea
    4. Arsenal
    5. Newcastle
    6. Spurs
    7/8th - Everton/Sunderland
    9th. - Liverpool <laugh>

Seriously think you can do it.

You side looks sexier than Liverpool's and If you can be consistent I see it happening.

Everton will be the one that may nick it from you though. I think they'll be more consistent this time.

We won't finish 5th. Spurs are better than us. I think we are in that Everton/Sunderland battle for 6th, 7th and 8th, that you correctly point out, personally.

Agree with QWOP. 6th, 7th, 8th will be beween us, newcastle and everton. Everton will start slowly again but finish very strongly as they always do. Hopefully we can get 4/6 points off them this year, which would help us leapfrog them.

I agree, I think you overachieved last season not because of how you played or anything but because of how poor the top teams wer at times.

I think Man City, Man United and Chelsea will all be going for the title and I think Arsenal and Tottenham will be strong, I think once Spurs get 1 or 2 more signings in they will be ready to go

I think Newcastle are nailed on for 6th

as for us, top 9 would do me

I would agree with everything bar the final line. I genuinely believe that NOW you are capable of pushing us/Everton etc. 9th Would be an improvement but I fancy you to get top 8.

Everton and Newcastle still have better teams on paper, what brings us close to par with them, is O'Neil in my honest opinion.

Says who? I'd say we're about equal now.

I don't think any spot is nailed on, apart from the top 2/3. We'll just have to wait and see.

Don't quite think you're on par with us mate, but we'll see.

Sorry what?? We are not equal with Spurs. No way. If not for the woodwork, we would have been tonked last weekend.

if Spurs get Damiao and a replacement for Modric (Moutinho?) they will be top class, last week they really missed Adebayor, I know at the time he wasn't there player but they missed the big man upfront

I said we were close to being on par and I think the league table at the end of the season will reflect that.

Adam Johnson is a little overpriced but compared the majority of British players he's a bargain, he will create a lot for S'land and I'm curious to see how many they can put away.

You could use the same arguement for Liverpool. If it not for the woodwork, Liverpool would have been in the top 4. Hitting the post doesn't mean you can claim you were unlucky not to win, you didn't score, simple as.

And tonked? It would have been 3-2, and their goal was scrappy, and made up for any bit of bad luck you might have thought they had. Defoe's head hit Santon, forced Krul into making a great save, and just fell so kindly for Defoe.

They hit the post twice. Bale's header was never going in, it hit the top of the bar and bounced out, and Saylor was underneath it.

They probably deserved a draw, but we produced the best moments of quality in the game, and if anyone deserved to nick it, it was us.

    We are equal IMO.

It's not just about how many quality players you have, I'm talking about as a team. They might have Bale and VDV, two great players, but It's how the team does.

And to be honest, on paper, there still isn't a lot between us, and the fact that we can beat a side like Spurs without playing great, shows we're a quality side, and we can easily contend with them.

It's correct. Not a ghastly price but S'land should of negotiated a better fee.

My thoughts exactly but another striker and a left back and you will be top 7 imo.

I disagree totally with your stance, respectfully.

We had to deal with ****ty injuries throughout the season, and a bad run of results because of this, we had the pundits and other fans saying we're finished half way through the season, and we were without our better players for a lot of the season, and our fringe players had to step in and help us through the season.

We had our drubbings just like the top teams at times.

We achieved what we deserved last year, apart from maybe we could have finished 6th instead, since Chelsea had to ease off the pedal in the premier league to compete in the CL, but still, we were definite top 6 quality last year.

    IMO.

Erm £11m for a current England international; 25 years old, who won a EPL medal last year and is in the prime of his career?

Are you on day release by any chance? Hope your carers know where you are
